Very strange just had a phone call from the number above a young lady i believe aggressively tried to find out if i was the house owner so they don't have our details said something about the new government boiler scheme on boiler's what is strange is we are x directory and have all international call's blocked there number showed up on our screen as international so i would like to know how they got round the blocking any way i have manually blocked it anyway

A man (in a noisy office) wantimg me to get free cavity wall & loft insulation through the goverment scheme.
When i told them i had my loft done in 2007 they said id need it doing again. When i said id had a company come today to do a survey & they confirmed i didnt need anymore loft insulation the man on the phone then said he was from the company that had visited me today!
That seemed unlikely because theyd only left my house just over 4 hours ago!
But i went along with the call, but i doubted them even more because they asked me questions about my house/etc when the company who id seen had already done the questions & survey.
Then the man put me through to a 2nd man. He mentioned the company name was First Call. That is not the company that had visited me! so i hung up.
I did 1471 & found thier number is 02030007991. Thats not even the same county as the company that visited me!
So this company seems very dodgy to me. -

Rose Evan (sounded foreign) of First Call said she was representing 'trusted local suppliers'. Asked how old our boiler was and whether we had solar panels, new loft insulation etc. I said I subscribed to TPS and would report he call. I asked to be removed from their data base.

They call and hang up - then when you call them their opening line is
"Are you responding to a missed call"
Not even a hello - obviously their business model requires curiosity of the caller to find out who called, then they try to trap you into getting a boiler and loft insulation that are apparently part of the greendeals fund run by the government - you can do this yourself without someone taking a cut if you really want. Just another PPI type firm.
