Guy said he was calling from "Shebang" on behalf of Three network (accent was horrific so not sure if Shebang is correct, but he said it twice and that's what it sounded like) to offer me a free phone with no credit check. I said I already had a mobile contract, and he tried to sell me on the notion that it's not got a credit check and so is a great way to build good credit rating fast. I turned him down on this, but since I work for a different mobile network, I know that's an utter fabrication, it is not possible legally to set up a contract without a credit check, and any non-conrtacted service does not improve credit rating, so it's clearly a scam.
