   This number was used to con my father into allowing access to his computer by an operative claiming to be calling from TalkTalk.
   Around a year ago TalkTalk suffered a loss of customer data through an associated contractor.
   This data is being used to contact customers with a fake story that they are due a refund for a variety of reasons.
   The caller has already established that they have malware loaded onto your computer (which probably occurred when you clicked on a link in a legitimate looking email purporting to come from TalkTalk).
   They will try to keep you on the line and get you to look at your financial accounts.
   If you get a call from TalkTalk from this or any other number and you have not specifically pre-arranged a technical call with an agreed reference number then this is a scam.
   Hang up.
   Disconnect your computer from the internet by physically unplugging the router.
   Report the call to TalkTalk Security on 0800 083 2710.
   Either run an anti-malware program or take your computer to a trustworthy service centre to have the malware removed.

   This number claimed to be from Talktalk, they called my wife and informed her that her Internet was suffering from attended hacking. They even had her Customer ID. A lady with an Indian accent talked her through a procedure on her laptop to 'clean' up the hacking files, not knowing she was giving them remote access to her laptop. They also claimed she has been over paying for a security service and she was due a refund of £200. She was advised that the money has been paid into her bank account and advices to check if it has gone in, when she opened her online bank account to check - they had access to her account and withdrew her money. Be wary and warn others.

   Caller rang my mother 3 times, claiming to be from TalkTalk saying there was a problem with her email account and could she do things on her laptop to correct the problem, thankfully she became flustered (she`s 92yrs old) and decided to put the phone down and call me to help.
