When i picked up and said "hello" 3 times the women (who sounded to be automated) just said "goodbye" and then hung up. Very weird.

Scam, scam, scam. I called this number back from my land line and they are a claims company, regarding a traffic accident THAT I HAVE NEVER HAD!!!! I demanded to know where they had obtained my mobile number from and they advised a road traffic accident company!!! I explicitly advised them to remove my number immediately as I had missed calls every day for a week up until now. People do not bother returning this call........report the number!!

I actually did have an accident a few months ago and the only company that had my contact number were Albany Assistance who dealt with my hire...I've got no doubt whatsoever that they have passed my number on as this is the only plausible reason for this company having my number.

Needless to say I didn't answer as I didn't recognise the number.

I work for a very similar company to Albany Assistance and I can assure you they are not allowed to pass on details to third party companies due to DPA.

They're just calling numbers at random, it's unlikely to be linked to your actual accident.

Could be a coincidence, but the calls started after I booked an Autoglass repair. Hence the link to them thinking I had an accident.

Just a coincidence i'd say, it would be commercial suicide for any company to hand over details of customers. Most likely is they have bought a list of numbers and are cold calling them.

The same happened to me after a windscreen repair carried out by National Windscreens. This is too much of a coincidence in my opinion. More likely that customer details have been misappropriated and passed on for financial gain. Companies don't pass these details on, as already said, they are bound by DPA. The sooner small injury claims are banned, the better.

Lied when I asked where they got my number from. Claimed they had received information from a claim handler that I was in an accident which wasn't my fault. I called her a liar and told her I would report her.I thought these kind of calls were against the law?

Called this morning - no message left. I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognise.
I called back and heard a recorded message; ostensibly the company is "Fast Claims". The message gives you the option to "press one if you have been in an accident at work or in a car" - I'm paraphrasing slightly, but that's the gist.
I haven't had any sort of accident for over 5 years and I'd love to know how they've got my number.

was called today from Sophie (sounded about 12 years old!) telling me that she had received data from the national accident claim statistics database, which is a government department, to confirm the details of the car accident I was involved in.
utter tripe.
asked politely to be put through to her floor manager/supervisor to verify the data she had and what a surprise she hung up.
added to block list.
