Caller claimed my washing machine warranty was running out -but When questioned he couldn't tell me the make etc of this machine and just kept repeating "the one registered to your address" -I have never taken out any warranties with this company -and my current machine is just 2 months old and has a 10 yr parts & labour warranty so I know the caller was not genuine

Rang claiming they were my washing machine insurer and offering a cheaper rate. When I said I didnt have insurance and hung up they rang back from an unknown number, when I answered he said "how rude" and started speaking, hung up again, he rang back twice more! Got a (male) colleague to answer and he said "sorry wrong number" and hung up! Quite sinister

Received a call to say the cover on my washing machine was about to expire and they wanted to get the renewal done before the 1st April and they had managed to reduce the price. I was then asked if I was using the same debit card?
I asked how much the premium was and was told it £9.90, I asked if this was per month or for the year, which was not answered, but I was asked for my sort code.
When I asked for confirmation in writing the phone went dead. -

Clearly a company trying to get people to take out insurance policies - they claimed they were my current insurer - they aren't. They told me their name was Domestic Appliance Group, and hung up when I questioned them further. They don't appear to have a valid website or anything.
