An indian sounding guy posing as a Talk Talk techie rings house phone, convinces you that your router is giving out problem signals. Gets you to go online, shows you shed load of viruses, licence expiry and explains due to this you no longer have any security on your pc, the security on pc you have therefore won't work until you pay for the licence agreement renewal and pay £400 for a lifetime security installation from Windows. He then convinces you to allow remote access so he can install drivers onto pc to accept the security. Won't take card payment but tells you to leave pc on while you go to western union to make a cash payment transfer to the chinese manufacture which is confirmed on your pc who issue the licence agreement as Talk Talk don't get the money. Although reading this its a clear scam, when one is in situation this guy sounds and makes it all look credible as even the Talk Talk helpdesk with code appears on your screen. He gets you to go in and out of google and the pc commands to see what he's talking about. He said his name when I asked was Ryan Matthews which rang alarm due to his dialect. The name in which the money is to be transferred is : Haitain Xaio. He gets your mobile number so he can contact you while out. It showed as private number on my phone but he read the above number out to me. Thankfully Money Shop couldn't access Western Union site and travel agents wouldn't accept card payment either so we went to bank and manager helped us confirm it was a scam. He kept ringing while in bank and thereafter so I ignored calls. Therefore having realised we had sussed him, he wrecked my laptop. When I returned my laptop was displaying hacked screen shot and it is now useless. Cannot access anything.
