Indian gentleman called saying I may have noticed internet connection running slow and he was from BT and they were going to disconnect my internet. They phoned my work so I explained it was a business address they had called and was told he already new this. I asked what was the name of the business then? he hung up straight after without answering. lol.

Once again ANOTHER call where you have to say "Hello" twice before anyone answers. Claimed to be from BT Internet Support. Advised our service provider is not BT but caller still insisted that it was. Advised that the number he called is with the TPS and his unsolicited call was illegal. He hung up soon after.

I classed this as "harrassment because there is no class for FRAUD. Indian scam artists trying to tell you your computer is sending out viruses. This fraud is so old and well known I am surprised they still try it. Its about time the companies supplying tel services to these criminals hired navy seals and killed them all.

Guy said he was from Microsoft and that they had detected problems with my computer.
After 5 minutes of stringing him along, I told him he was a scammer just trying to get into my PC to steal credit card details. He started arguing the toss and told me I was a liar, so I hung up because I'd had enough of playing silly games. -

Usual Indian caller who said he was from Talk Talk and that I had alsorts of things wrong with my computer. So iasked him which one. He said the one that I use. I said I use 5 different computers. He asked me to type something into the computer. I did, nothing happened. I then said would you like me to turn the computer on. LOL Strung him along for about 10 minutes. Could not understand what he was saying so kept asking for him to repeat. Only managed to keep him on the phone for 15 minutes be fore he hung up. I kept asking him to repeat everything using the phonetic alphabet which was winding him up even more. As other have said do not do what they ask. If you are confident then play around with them and waste their time. If they say type in T then type in Tango.

I've had a few calls from this number claiming to be BT.I knew instantly it was a scam. They were trying to say they were BT and that my Internet wasn't secure. I lied and said I didn't have Internet so they hung up.
Please don't be taken in by these criminals.Call BT to report it. -

Indian woman calling from 01158882188 insisted that the internet would be turned off because of a hacking attempt. When asked how long for, just kept repeating the mantra. Was then "transferred" to Ryan Harris from "technical" who asked us to turn on computer; when refused to do so was asked to ring 020 319 88079. Hung up.

Tried to tell me there was a fault with my BT broadband which they could fix for me.. Treis to get me to login in to my laptop. I strung them along a bit and then asked them how a BT fault would affect Virgn Media!! They assured me it would.. When I told them I suspect they are on a scam, they hung up!

Received call from Indian lady advising from BT as apparently my internet has been hacked. Explained I'm not even with Bt . Then sh carried on asking lots of questions about what we use to connect to Internet (laptops, phones etc) and who uses them in household . Told her this is private and she started repeating how br are the main company etc. seemed rather dodgy so hung up

Have been bombarded with calls from this number asking me to go to my PC or Windows Laptop. Male Indian caller was confused when I was asking him for details he claimed he had and what the error code message actually said, he was he was trying to get me to change settings that would allow him access to all my personal details... I have been a programmer and have some knowledge of what he was asking...So, DO NOT ever change setting on your PC from a caller unless you have requested help from a well known help desk and even then if you are unsure you can always call them back to confirm it was a legitimate call.

Asian male telling me he was from the Windows Technical Department and that my PC was infected with a virus that he could help me out with. Kept him talking for 10 minutes [their phone bill not mine] whilst I pretended to follow his instructions. Eventually I asked him if it mattered that I was using an iMac and that I am computer manager - his language was quite insulting as he quickly hung up. Most fun I've had with a scam caller for months, but those less in the know, beware. They are just after your money...

Apparently my windows PC is sending error messages. What a surprise. That's what windows does, error error error that's usual, then thay asked me to turn the washing machine on. So I did and left the phone on top. Come on it is a window machine and works, they cut me off, how rude is that.!!!???

HANG UP ON THIS NUMBER IMMEDIATELY.
An Indian lady 'claiming' to be calling on behalf of Microsoft Security called from this number. Luckily I was already aware of this SCAM and hung up immediately.
They will tell you that they are working on behalf of Microsoft and have detected bugs/faults/issues with your computer and they will tell you that thay need remote access to your computer in order to fix these 'problems'. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES LET ANY COLD CALLER INTO YOUR COMPUTER.
This SCAM has been going on for years!
I very much doubt this is a London number its coming from India.
