Had a call from this number pretending to be from Windows. I have a virus apparently. Now someone or some company must provide these UK numbers. Who could it be and why can't they just cancel these numbers once reported?

Rang my ex directory landline which is also registered with TPS (clearly this has stopped my number being known to whoever this was) I said hello a couple of times, total silence on the other line and then hung up. I obviously don't sound vulnerable enough!

Said they are going tonawardvme £3000-£4000 regarding personal injury for accident. They asked an awful lot of questions. They said my insurance gave them my details. I took the bait...I feel I may of given to much info so I hung up. Rang my solicitor and they confirmed it sounds like a scam. The dodgy ppl rang back, I told them speak to my solicitor and then the dude had the cheek to say I was not understanding properly what was going on and that speaking to solicitor was not necessary AND THEN I heard another person on the line and I asked if there was someone else on the line, he hesitated and said yes and then the other one dropped the line. Dodgy or what. I hung up. They rang again....i answered purely to try figure out what they were fishing for. Apparently it was the manager this time...spun me a few lines, tried to say he was making a claim for my passenger. I told him don't be an idiot my passenger can't make a claim because they an infant and slammed the phone down!

on answering phone i did not say anything - five seconds later caller hung up - i agree probably looking for vulnerable victim - very sad people involved in this type of intrusion and upset of peolple in their own homes - amazing the goverment does nothing

I get called by this number or another like it (most are 0203) every single day. All are Asian men who tell me that my Talk Talk internet has been poor for the last few days. I agree (as Talk Talk internet is crap but it is cheaper than all the others so sadly I have it). Be careful, they are scammers and will tell you to go to your computer and they will tell you how to let them take over your computer and then they will have access to all your accounts. String them along if you have time to waste their time but usually I hang up straight away and tap in the number Talk Talk has given me to block the call. Then they call the next day on a different 0203 number. I am sick of it, might go and buy the BT8500 telephone as suggested

Called saying they were from Accident Helpline & that I had been involved in a minor car crash that was not my fault. When I told them that I hadn't they asked if anyone in my household had been involved in a minor accident to which I told them no- then put the phone down on my without another word.

Rang a few minutes ago. I answered but no one on the line, just silence. I heard recently that these companies can't be sued if they don't speak as they are not hassling anyone. They just rely on vulnerable people calling them back.

I've had a few of these calls claiming they have received 'messages from my computer' telling them there is a problem. Like others here I usually play along for a while to see if I can get them to hang up. Asking them to tell you your IP address works quite well (if your computer has been sending 'messages' to Microsoft they would be logging your IP address). Or if you're less patient, just say you don't use Microsoft products.

Apparently from Talk Talk, but clearly now. Guy tried to tell me that we were about to be disconnected and became increasingly aggressive when I didn't co-operate with his request to follow his instructions. Recommend that you block this caller ID if you can.

Just had this call & have had a number of them since the talktalk database was hacked into. This is the first time though the a number has displayed on my phone that was ledgible as usually its just 4 digits that indicates its from abroad - surprise surprise ;-((

Had this call three times this week (so far). Indian accent claiming to he can fix my computer (clearly he didn't know I'm a professional software programmer). I recognised it immediately as a scam call. I did Play along a little on his last attempt. Poor guy, I'm not even sure if he knows it a scam himself. This guy knows very little.

I pretended to be a cop told the guy answering he called a deceased persons phone he started to stutter told him not to hang up that we (police) are tracing the number to his location and started asking random questions about how he knew the deceased 15-20 minuets past he put his supervisor on to explain what he was doing I then told him his life may be in danger as the deceased was a gang member who's gang doesn't like loose ends silence for about 10 seconds then said so what do I do I replied ( the same story they give us) press the 2 buttons etc he hung up

Just had a call and the lady said she was from the Government of the UK. Can you please confirm your age as your between 25-70. I said I will not confirm my age to someone I do not know. She did not mention the company at all despite several iterations. She then swore at me and put the phone down.

Caller from this number told me he was from Microsoft and that my computer had 'infections'. I played along and asked him how I could fix them - he directed me to press certain keys on the computer and asked me what I could see. I asked him to tell me what I should see. He got impatient and handed me to his 'supervisor'. I asked the supervisor if he would like to speak to my son who is a software engineer as he would be much more able to follow their instructions. He became angry and said "are you trying to tell me your son invented computers? I do not want to speak to your son, I only want to speak to you!" When I politely insisted that my son would be much more efficient at following his instructions, he hung up. Hahaha!!! I had such a good laugh at this with my son who 'invented computers'! I look forward to these calls - I love to play innocent and string them along! Maybe I need to get a life!!!
