These clowns have called three times today saying they have an urgent message and that our computer has been hacked. We are already on the TPS list so why are we constantly receiving this type of nuisance call ?

Called from 02032869239 on two consquecutive days callers stating I have a serious fault with my pc. They are right it has been broken for weeks and not even connected, awaiting trip to the skip. However caller didn't want to know, just tried to get access to my pc, even quoting my apparent I.p. address. I rang Microsoft c.s. following the first call they advised they do not cold call, that there have been a number of complaints about calls fron this number and to ignore and put the phone down. I told the caller this he still ignored me and told me he intends to call me again tomorrow. Strange thing, neither callers spoke brilliant English and when I asked for names I was given the callers name as Alan Smith, very Asian men called Alan Smith I think!!!!

Same old nonsense, Indian sounding person saying they are Microsoft and I have a problem with my PC. Funny I only have a MacBook. Kept them taking a while before telling them they are con artists, Then they hung up. They are trying to gain remote control of your PC and then lock it up so they can charge you to unlock it.

Just received a call from 02032869239 claiming that there was a fault on my PC which was showing on Microsoft site - Amazing
Whilst on the phone I googled the telephone number and came to this forum and like most others sussed it was a scam. When I asked him what support i needed he wanted to know which OS system I was using, the reply was well if my PC was showing a fault then im sure that you can see what system i was using. He still did not get what i was tying to tell him, anyway in the end i told him i was using a Sinclair Spectrum ZX81 - (not used one of these since early 80s) this got him confused and said that he could not find that - Funny that, as not so many minutes ago my pc was showing fault - Total plank.
If you do get a call do not give any details out over the phone and if you really want to cheese them off, just keep them talking and pretend you cannot do what they are asking - this confuses the hell out of them and they hang up. - Not like a support service i would recommend.woody replied 7/12/14, 7:32 PMTo prevent these and other clowns from unwanted calls please Google TPS.

Called tellig me my pc was hacked etc, I asked when this happened and he came back with 3 weeks ago -interesting I was not living here at the time and didn't have my laptop with me where I was. Then I asked where they got my number and was told they get it automatically from my name being connected to the windows help server. Interesting as the number is not in my name, I then asked who he thought I was and was told "mrs Bradford" this is not my name and when I told him I was put through to yet another person (4th one) he then started he spiel and I interrupted an asked who he was calling and was told "mr Harold Bradford" at which point I told him that was obviously not me and that in the last 10 years no one has lived here by that name and he promptly hung up (20 mins total call time)

yet another call,he said he was working on behalf of Microsoft and that my computer was subject to hackers and would shortly die and therefore would I go and switch it on so that he could rescue it.When I asked him for his details to verify his source and how he got my details he just kept saying "listen to me" and getting ruder and ruder until I impolitely told him where to go.

This month's round of 'Microsoft support' con calls is on this number, I see.
It's a fake. Microsoft do not call you telling you there's something wrong with your PC - that's why you call them and either wait for hours to get through or you buy a support contract with them. I have a lot of fun with this bunch though. They like to try and get you to open up your PC to them, announce it has problems and take bank details over the phone. #20YearsInIT say FAKE.

Two extremely aggressive and unpleasant calls from so called 'windows technical support'. He gave an English name (although his and supervisor's English was very poor). The 'supervisor' was even louder and more aggressive than the first guy. He also demanded that I open up my computer. I put the phone down they rang back and I put the phone down again. Thanks for those posting here for heads up.

The caller claimed to be Chris Brown. That was his first mistake - judging by his accent I expected something more exotic! Usual guff about infected computer. Claimed to be from "Ask PC Expert",207 Melton Road, Leicester. Asked him three times if he wanted remote access to my PC at which point he hung up.

Wanted to fix my computer upset caller when I laughed.
The telecom companies should be obliged to block these calls, Why should the customer who only rents their line ( clue is in "Line Rental" we all pay) to have to fork out for Chose to Refuse any way asked him to call back on another number and gave him my MP's perhaps they might start dealing with all these unwanted calls. -

Claims tio worek with ISPs, ccan see friom reports lots od issues with my PC. Clearly a scam. Rang off when I started asking questions that might help identify source. What I don't understand is why these companies don't get procesuted for Fraud - THey must collect p[asyments though credit cardes - so must be tracable. -

Getting a lot of phone calls from this number for a couple of weeks now, one early this morning about 8.45am. They have called twice since and when I picked up the phone the third time but never spoke, I could hear background noise but they then hung up. Very frustrating since this kind of phone number shouldn't be calling us in Northern Ireland. Go away!

Called and straight away I cottoned on to what it was all about - they told me hackers were trying to access my PC - when I told him I was an I.T. consultant he quickly hung up - don't fall for it - one of these people even tried to con my 82 year old Mom like this, fortunately I sort her PC so she told them this politely - Warn your friends and relatives please to stop them falling for this con

They called me (0900-1000 Sat 14 June 2014); I made some comment about background noise or slow response, I forget for sure; they rang off; I found number from BT 1471; phoned them and asked who they are; they said Microsoft Technical Department and they have error messages about my computer and asked me to go into my internet browser (I think) to see, but I said not convenient [as I actually had computer problems found by my security scan and probably needed to restart computer]and so I would call back; they said I could do so any time.

Calls claiming to be Microsoft. Use any means possible to get you to allow access to pc. Once they are in your computer they will create fake viruses and tell you it they will clear your pc for the tune of £150. They will try to get your bank details etc. And use any means possible to get you to part with your money.

I just had a call from a so called Peter Smith from Microsoft supposedly saying that there is malicious activity on PC. I asked if I could get some details from him to verify his credibility and he suddenly became very unprofessional and rude.. and obnoxious all whilst demanding details. SCAM! Nearly had me there! Next, call will be to the authorities!!!

Usual Mumbai accent calling himself Alan Smith I just tell them I have no comuter
