Received this call. Computer voice said it was HMRC, then call was cut-off when I spoke. I did a 1471 and noted number. I DID NOT call the number back in case of 'high rate call back scam' (NEVER return a telephone call, as you may very well end up being charged a high premium rate cost!!!)

Caller rang purporting to be HMRC about unpaid tax requesting immediate call back. Recipient has a learning disability and does not pay tax. Caller had no personal information and HMRC would never make calls or leave a message like this

My 96 year old mother received a call and they said they were from HM customs. They said she owed income tax and that she should ring the number 02032988210. I rang and spoke to a man Anthony Cooper and I asked him were he was based, he said 100 Whitehall I said I would come and see him now and he put down the phone. I have tried number a few times no one is picking up.
