All the information is readily available on companies house web site. Also a director of a liquidated company cannot sigh any legal agreement after the company has been liquidated. How can this be wrong to put the information on this site.
IME (UK) Ltd replied 10/22/15, 9:51 AM
Perhaps you should get in touch with us directly 'Ged'. We are happy to send a copy of the relevant paperwork.
    Ged replied 10/22/15, 1:26 PM
To IME (UK) ltd I have seen the paperwork and its signed by Mr lee Martin in January 2015. He was not a director of IME ltd when it was signed and therefore is not legal. The rest is on Companies house web site.
IME (UK) Ltd replied 10/23/15, 10:55 AM
    GED, Dear Mr McKeon,
I refer to your comment regarding legal paperwork.
Mr Lee Martin signed the document as a Shareholder, not a Director of the Company.
We have already provided you with a copy of the document on the 6th of August.
We repeat it will be beneficial to you, to obtain legal advice in relation to a Deed of Assignment and English Law.
If we can be of any further assistance please let us know.

    Regards

    Internet Media Experts (UK) Ltd
    Ged replied 10/23/15, 2:37 PM
I have spoken to my solicitors and Trading Standards. Both confirm that your demands carry no weigh in law.
    ged replied 10/23/15, 2:52 PM
Your comments regarding who signed the documents is enlightening and shows your companies incredible lack of knowledge regarding how a company is legally formed. A share holder only owns shares in the company its the directors who have legal authority. This ceased on the 4th July 2014 when the company was liquidated. I recommend you check this up.

    John replied 10/23/15, 8:04 PM
Spot on Ged, their Legal Department has never been near a legal examination paper let alone gained any qualification.
    Evoque replied 10/23/15, 10:49 PM
Yes Ged I agree with you This firm have concern with any law like thing they just want to make different innocent people to trap and take money out of their pocket. If they are so good in providing service than why so many people people are frustrated. Shame to management of this company.I think begging is better than doing such type of business
    ged replied 10/23/15, 11:10 PM
How any "company" IME (UK) ltd can believe that they can take over business/contracts from another company, IME ltd which went into liquidation 6 months previously on the signature of a"share holder" beggars belief. They don't like true statements being made against them so the have them delated. Censorship. Now really fed up commenting and will make no more comments. Just remember there requests for payment are not legal.
Ime (try global next!) replied 10/23/15, 11:52 PM
Summed up well Evoque...we have supposedly had this good uninterrupted service....can they find a satisfied customer...I don't think so...go on Ime...give us one happy testimonial..

Be ware of Company ‘’ Internet Media Experts’’ is claiming that they have made a contract with NHS trust for promotions of local services by advertising them through NHS intranet. I also fell prey to this company and never received any customer from them. Despite my repeated request to them for cancellation of contract the never cancelled and kept on deducting the money off my account. On one pretext or the other, they kept my contract running now at their own they renewed for another two years further, now asking another £1970.
I took the case to Courts for refund of payments which I made. Please email me if you are unsatisfied with them so that I can show in the courts you may also get refund.

I laughed when I saw the response from the 'Legal Department' below. This is the department with not one legal qualification and with one person in it with many names..such as Nikki Scott, Tracey Martin amongst others.
Your contracts are worded well to exploit people and your tactics are designed to have people sign the contracts without presenting the enormous amount of small print that ties them in. If you operated with morals and were providing a worthy product, this small print would be presented by the shark reps and not hidden away on the premise that they have to be folded a certain way due to being carbonated - what a pile of crap
    Ajay replied 8/28/15, 3:00 PM
Hi Please can you let me know how I can contact you, I have also fallen in the prey of this company and need help with being harassed to pay for another two years of advertising from which I have received no work.
    Joe replied 8/31/15, 3:09 PM
    Hi Ajay

I am currently looking into the contract. I take it like me you didn't send your cancellation agreement in?
    Ajay replied 8/31/15, 3:55 PM
Hi Joe, No I didn't send the cancellation through in time.
    Ged replied 8/31/15, 4:12 PM
    Hi
Check the other comments on this page. The company is a different company they were called Internet Media Experts Ltd and they went into liquidation on the 4th July last year . The new company who are chasing for a payment are Internet Media experts (uk) ltd. A totally different company. They will give you rubbish like the contract was legally transferred. Yes it was by a Novation agreement which requires all parties to the contract to sign. Check it out
    aimee replied 9/2/15, 1:02 PM
I haver just received my letter/invoice for payment of the second year. yet i cancelled in writing and by phone. and now no-one will take my calls!!!!

i have over 10 e-mails from them when we signed up about how unhappy we are with the service. Am io better off going straight to trading standards or looking into a solicitor via business insurance?
    Ged replied 9/2/15, 1:15 PM
    Aimme
Once you tell them that there is legally no contract and tell them why your not paying they go away. The Trading Standards also say the company was liquidated and there is not a legal contract.
Ime (try global next!) replied 10/21/15, 6:45 PM
Another piece of information that will help. I have a copy of a document which shows that Internet Media Experts changed their registered office from Poultry, London to Blades Enterprise Centre in Sheffield on 29th July 2014. The document states that IME will only accept notices served at their previous address for 14 days from that date. They didn't inform their clients of this move and didn't update the details on their website. Basically it was not possible for clients to give notice to cancel their contracts after 12th August 2014. One can only speculate as to the reason for this!
IME (UK) Ltd replied 10/23/15, 2:29 PM
    Ime (try global next!)
The registered office address was changed as per law requirements, however there has been no interruption in the receipt of post at No 1 Poultry, London since July 2014, If you write to us, we receive the post.
Please call our office to discuss your account with our Company at your earliest convenience.

    Bramblehouse replied 4/22/16, 10:54 AM
Evoque, I have as yet not had monies taken from my accounts, largely due to me not signing the mandate at the time I signed the contract. However, I am in the midst of discussions refuting this renewal process and the immoral way this company undertakes its business. I would be interested to exchange, discuss and support action to assist others as well as myself.

If anyone has sucessfully had their day in court and got a positive result I would be most interested to get in touch and discuss how....

We signed an agreement with staff benefits.co.uk IME LTD)at 6.30 in the evening. The salesman would not leave and kept on for over 2 hours. He also amended the cost by nearly 3 times the amount after it had been signed. He then got my wife to initial it. We contacted them at 9.30 the following morning and they refuse to do anything about it. They want us to provide advertising material, so they can start work. Now claiming that they have already started with no info whatsoever. They have also set up a direct debit for the full amount. Don't know what to do. We are a small sole trader with under 2 years in business and if they take the £3,000 we will be in financial difficulties

Internet Media Experts UK Ltd whose director is Lee Martin is currently the subject of a compulsory winding up by Companies House. They are being very aggressive in chasing money now but don't pay them anything they will be out of business by early August 2016.

They have been chasing me and threatening me with a Statutory Notice.

According to the Insolvency Service (a Government Dept) a Statutory Notice is not enforceable if your debt is less than £5,000 so if you get one please do go to the court and ask for it to be set aside (a legal procedure) Because it is less than £5,000 you will automatically win and this company will have to pay both yours and the courts costs.

They use a debt collection company called Commercial Debt Recovery (Maurice McCarthy or Becca). Both come across as friendly at first but soon show their true colours when you refuse to pay.

Tell them you dispute the invoice and they must leave you alone. If they keep calling you then get in touch with the police and report them for harassment. Keep a log of all your calls and texts, dates, times etc.

Also call Blackpool Trading Standards on 01253 478375 they are very interested in Commercial Debt Recovery and their tactics.

They are scammers - they do nothing for the money and role over the contract automatically. Do not pay them any more money and just keep telling them that their contract is invalid.

    Dave replied 6/6/17, 4:53 PM
We signed Thursday, cancelled the Direct debit on friday. Although we contacted them several times, we couldn't get past reception. Had a conversation with a solicitor on this thread and they gave me really good advice. About 10 mins later we received an email from IME LTD saying the Direct Debit with them had been cancelled by our bank. went on to say that we need not take any further action as no more payments will be taken under this mandate. Hopefully we are OK. Advised to send them a letter stating that we don't want this, want no further contact from them and not to get in touch in 24 months time. Thanks for all the help off of this thread.
    Dave replied 6/13/17, 1:36 PM
Thought this company had gone away but I am now being told to send them advertising material or they will go ahead with it anyway. They accept that the agreement will be cancelled after 24 months but still want payment. Like it has been mentioned time and again, they are continuing to chase me regardless.
    John replied 6/13/17, 2:09 PM
The company is in liquidation, just ignore everything from them. Just ignore everything from them, do not enter into any correspondence or conversations. I ignored them for months and they eventually gave up

Very deceitful and aggressive company hiding behind extremely onerous and dodgy Terms and Conditions. Buried away in an agreement that is designed to appear to be for two-years are clauses extending this, which would then make it a five-year contract. The website the advertising claims to be for is a "member only" site with very little traffic to it. Total con' trick of the worst variety.

    DDS replied 5/1/15, 11:47 AM
Refuse to pay a penny more. I begged them to take me to court, but they haven't done it yet and I doubt they will. The apparent debt collection company that tried to chase me for payment is ran by a woman who has been involved in similar advertising scams. They know that they will be exposed for being scammers if they went to court, but they will try and bully the money out of you. I would suggest ignoring them like I have.
