call him 20x in an hour prentending to order a takeaway and he gets pretty annoyed :-)anon replied 9/8/15, 12:33 PMGot cold called and they hung up when asked for their business address.
We are calling from a work phone. In the last hour we have asked for several taxi's and food takeaway. Eventually the guy played along to my takeout request and told me that if if wasn't delivered in 30min it would be free!
Scammers with a sense of humour. -

Just this minute had this number call me then hang up when I answered. I typed the number into Google and this was the top link.
Going by everyone's comments, it seems to be ambulance chasers but I find it odd that I've had a recent spate of these calls and shed load spam emails in last few weeks going on about compensation and PPI after excepting a grant from a well known UK energy company recently!

asked for my hubby. scam call they had our ex directory number, a make of car hubby bought, and his name. The only people who know this information is DVLA, churhill insurance. Dvla don't have our ex directory number so the ony people who have details was churchill... Anyway she said they were working along side the MIB and they gave the details to them.. she didn't like it when I said they couln't have because we don't have the make of car she has stated. so knew she was phishing and hung up... Churchill will get a call of me.

Accident Expert Law supposedly got my number from the Road Traffic Accident Department, and wanted to check if I had had an accident in the last two years.
They didn't know my name which wasn't a great start, they hung up when I asked how they had actually got my telephone number.
So I rang back and asked to talk to the manager - Maxwell Anderson - a man who has the unusual ability of being in two places at the same time, on one line in the office and also out of office.
I've called them ten times, perhaps I've even joined them and become a nuisance caller.
I've reported them to the Information Commission.
Absolute charlatans, I'm not even sure Maxwell Anderson exists. -

When these idiots call, I simply request: 1 x Lamb Madras, 1 x Chicken Bhuna, 1 x Sag Aloo, 2 x Chapattis and a plain naan.. They've called 6 times in the last 4 days.. they usually hang up by the time I get to the Sag Aloo.

Woman phoned me and put me straight through to colleague after saying hello not even telling me who they was. Then the new guy answered and said I had come through to him as I was looking for compensation.
he then proceeded to tell me I had rejected a payout offer from my recent car accident and he was part of the team to make sure I get compensation, I fell straight into the trap and gave him a fair few details he then sent an email asking for an E signature. Scum was definitely trying to get enough details to steal my compensation. Can't believe I fell for it for a short period of time. -

Called and said I'd been in an accident, I asked their name and she gave it as Accident Expert Law. I then asked my name, I can be so forgetful at times, funnily enough she didn't know. It turned out to be Tone as she hung up on me. At least I know my name now!

Young UK accented woman (seemed to be real, though could be a recording) about a non-existent accident. Told I was on TPS and I put the phone down. My husband had a very similar call from same company apparently from 0203 634 9860.
Strange that there are sufficient people who will take up these services to make it worth their while. -

Called me multiple times within a few months but never got to the phone in time. Decided to call back for once. Voice mail service was shoddy and sounded as if it was a squif company already. Man answered the phone and tried to tell me I had compensation which I coukd claim for my car accident as it wasn't my fault. He then asked me questions which I went along with. When I asked where he had gotten my number from he stated he bought my details from a firm which caters for accidents and is part of the government. I then confronted him and he seemed very eager to end the call.

They keep calling my phone, at first I was polite and requested they stop calling, I even resorted to screaming F off down the phone but still they call so I played them at their own game and called them non stop harassing them and I am also reporting them to OFCOM.. I suggest you all do the same

Today I got another call and they wouldnt even stop talking to let me speak to tell them to leave me alone.
They're calling about a car accident they claim I had and then claiming 'we're not selling anything' but then of course they want private details -

Ring their phone: you'll find the voice message is by teenager who can barely read the script. The script is by someone who can't write - "If you have had A accident...".
So if that's the effort and expense they're prepared to invest into making their first impression, imagine how diligent their customer service must be.

Called me this afternoon on my mobile (despite being on TPS) . I had to say "hello" a few times before anyone responded then when Penny said she was calling about a car accident I'd had which wasn't my fault and asked "is that right?" And I said I'd never had an accident, she promptly hung up.
We have a call blocker for our landline - wish there was one for mobiles.

Constantly rings claiming that have been in car accident, which i have not. Stated would report them and the phoned was Slammed down by them
