Call from O2 about reducing my bill. Lady's voice on the other end only asked yes/no questions and sounded like a recording. Really weird.

Agreed:Accident claim outfit using Nationwide Building Society's name to add authenticity. Refused to give further details, refused to transfer me to manager just kept repeating the same script, despite me asking him not to hang up he did, shame really I have bene known to put idiots like this on hold for 25 mins with annoying music on!
Calling back - recorded message out of service
Lucky I can block the number! -
I didn't listen long enough to know where they are calling from because they addressed me by my maiden name which means they got my phone number from the phone book which I haven't changed. When I told them there was no one here of that name they asked me who they were talking to - I hung up.
-
why would these people want to know about an unresolved accident?
-
Answered call as geographical number shown (not in service, apparently!), caller (sais his name was Kevin - NOT a sub-continental name in my experience!) attempted to quiz me about my name and address. When I declined to provide information I was met with a torrent of foul mouthed and obscene abuse. What a charmer! What about getting a proper job 'Kevin' and stop annoying people

Claimed to be calling from the Nationwide Advice Bureau RTA department asking about an accident I had reported in the last two years. Got very defensive when I asked where they got information about an accident and claimed it was from a national accident database.
-
Caller claimed to be from the RTA Department of "Accident Helpline". They claimed to be ringing to help me with the accident I had reported in the last few months. This is the fourth time they called. On each occasion I told them that I would only deal with them in writing, so they should send a letter to my postal address. I've been unable to ascertain exactly which "company" they are in order to make a formal complaint.

I have just been contacted by this number. This is most probably a phishing call trying to get your details from you. Tell them nothing But do report them to Action Fraud as they need to have as much information as possible to be able to stop these people.
-
Very rude female trying to get information suggests you have been in a car accident
Asked to be taken off the calling list and was told no -
Called twice in the past hour but left no message. Checked with another website that traces calls, seems as usual to be a scam marketing type call. have blocked on my phone.
