   The caller sounded exactly like a previous "survey" caller who I have now blocked. If it is anything like the previous call when I just hung up, I will soon be getting dodgy double glazing salesmen calling me because I had answered a survey

   They rang and asked for the previous house owner by name (who left over 7 years ago and had a completely different tel number, so how did they know my new tel number was connected to the house owned by the previous owner?).
   When I said he no longer lives here the caller went on to say he'd talk to me instead and wanted to ask me a few questions as to whether I'd like more nuisance calls!! (Oh the irony). I told him I was ex-directory and registered with the Telephone Preference Service and his call was breaking the law.
   He still wanted to engage me in conversation so I hung up.

   These idiots have been calling for 3 days and I have not been polite telling them what to do with their polls. I am now waiting for the usual telemarketer calls telling me they have called in response to my survey

   If these people call, answer with a well known company name and try to sell them it's products.
   This confuses them and I seem to get less calls.

   They called looking for my Dad, I said he wasn't at home and asked if I could take a message but they just hung up. Totally ignorant, bad enough getting pestered by these nuisance calls but they could at least have some manners.

   Asian accent. Pronounces surname incorrectly. Numerous calls from them (4 or 5 a week average)but telephone number varies. Previously used 02035140156.

    Called today - didn't answer - used call blocker (CallSaint) so they won't bother me again :)

    Call every day, everything from a survey to PPI.
    can't the Government do anything about these type of calls?

    called landline on a daily basis at varying hours of day or evening. Said they were doing a market survey. Told them not interested and eventually I just hung up without talking to them. Now they call daily and there's silence on the line before hanging up.

    Heavily accented operator asking for "Mr Porpor(?)"
    They abandoned the call when I said I didn't own the telephone line.
