I have had several calls from these people and each time kept them on the line for ages, getting them to elaborate about the problems I had with my windows. When I got bored, I told them I was running Linux and they promptly hung up. Enough fun for one day.

RobertStubbs01 reported Microsoft Windows (!) with the number 02037938906 as Harassment calls
This caller claimed to be from Microsoft Windows support. When I was hesitant about saying whether I own a computer he became abusive, using obscene language several times and being generally unpleasant before hanging up.
If this number calls you, hang up immediately - do not tell them anything about your computer/s as they are dangerous. -
Nick reported number +442037938906 as unknown
James claimed to be from Microsoft Windows and there were corrupt files on my PC - just like other scammers
Told them I had Microsoft antivirus, antispyware and malware and there was nothing wrong
Even handed over to the supervisor who continued to argue..
I just terminated the call and reported the number to TPS/ICO -

Raggedy reported number 02037938906 as unknown
This number is used by fraudsters claiming to be Microsoft. They direct you to a website where you download a remote control program so they can take control of your computer. Either to host viruses, make your computer a bot or steal your banking details. I've just spent an entertaining 2 hours, stalling them and claiming my computer crashed whenever I clicked on their download. :-)
They even tried selling me a Microsoft Certificate (£125 for 5 years, £150 for 10 years or £175 for a lifetime) as they couldn't get their program running on my system. Unfortunately my credit card was invalid! :-) These people can be very convincing and are very patient. Please note Microsoft would never call you out of the blue. Either play them along like I did (so they're not calling anyone else) or just tell them you don't have a computer. Hope this helps!

Dick Hogan reported unknown with the number +442037938906 as Cost trap
It’s so nice to be told that there is a problem with my Windows pc by “Microsoft”. When I asked for the windows licence tag number (as per the sticker on the PC and on the installation disk) the number they offered was bogus, not even the correct number of digits. Must admit that it was enjoyable to waste the chap’s time although he probably is being paid a pittance in a call centre overseas.
