They just phoned my elderly father-in-law on his land line and luckily my husband had just arrived at the house when they phoned. They told him that they were the National Crime Agency and that there had been fraud on his bank account. They said that he needed to transfer £11,000 from another account to sort out the problem and he would give the details of the account that he needed to transfer the money to. Luckily my husband was able to tell them in no uncertain terms where to go. So angry that these scammers are trying to take advantage of the elderly.
