British woman called me about 'an accident I've been in'. I have appalling reception in the London city building I work in (why in the heart of London is the phone reception so bad?) so I actually kept saying 'pardon' or 'can you please repeat'. I managed to hear statements like 'we're calling about an accident you've been in' so ascertained it was a scam, given I haven't been in an accident. The particulars of the scam though I know not. Given I was barely engaging with the telephonist (all I said was, things like "sorry please repeat you're breaking up" or "I can't hear you") they got fed up and hung up saying 'we'll update our list'. How the people who do this sort of work sleep at night I'll never know.
