I had a call from this number. It was silent so I suspected a telemarketing scam.You can also report nuisance calls to the police.I had one of the Police operators check the number out.He called up saying its the Metropolitan Police and he told me when he phoned me back you were right to suspect that number as he told me a nervous voice on the end said I'll put you on to my supervisor and they hung up.Report these calls to the Police even if the operator is SNOTTY about it keep calm and say this phone is used by an old person and they have to at least log it. The more the police are aware of these marketing scams they will do something about it.(eventually). I have heard that they may be outlawing this type of cold calling.Sometimes I pretend to be Policeman they usually just hang up

Just got a call, wasn't going to pick up, but I did anyway, I said hello, no answer, just background call centre noise, shouted hello 2-3 more times, the idiots hung up. But I did have my music blaring in the background. Immediately put on my blocked list!

I only answered this call because I was waiting for someone to phone but didn't know where from. The lad tried to sweet talk me by saying I sounded to young to be retired. Telesales re pensions, I'll now go back to letting them hear the radio or tv

My tactic now with unknown numbers is to take the call, but not to speak. I just place the phone by the radio/tv. Let them incur a call charge, and it seems to be working. Down to 1 a week as opposed to several daily.
Would like to staple those that have sold my details, to a wall and bile their heids!!! -
