Answered call and they said high I'm....... from ?Star (something) support. Didn't really catch the name of person as company as speaking way to fast.
Told me they had been informed I had been involved in a car accident that wasn't my fault. Have had a recent motorcycle incident so asked them who informed them of that. She repeated that they had been informed I had been involved in a car accident that wasn't my fault and asked me to state whether that was the case.
I said again, I'm sorry I'm asking you to clarify who has informed you of that?
She said can you confirm you have been involved in a car accident?
At no point did they use my name and they couldn't tell me who had told them so pretty sure this is a scam or cold calling fishing for customers for some morally dubious lawyers. If they had anything to do with my insurers they'd be able to tell me where they got my details from and would probably address me by name.
I ended the call by calling them out as a scammer and hanging up - don't fall for it.
