foreign speaking lady who said her name was Carol Johnson calling from a government refund department,stating I was going to receive £2800 refund on a bank loan I took out in 2005. The department had been investigating claims which were turned down by the banks, but this dept, had found there was money owing to customers. I was one of the lucky ones, I was asked how I would like to receive the money, either paid straight into my bank account or by cheque. I opted for cheque. I was told a courier who was a court solicitor would personally call at my address to deliver the cheque that afternoon. There were no charges to pay but I would have to pay 10% of the money to the taxman so I was told to go to my local costcutter and purchase a "UKASH" voucher to the value of £280 which I needed to do before the court solicitor could hand over the cheque, I was then passed over to foreign gent Kelvin Bell who confirmed all the details, when I told him I wouldn't,t be doing this but I would be ringing the tax office to clarify what a ukash voucher was he hung up .Good scam if you fall for it
