Supposed to be pc maintenance or windows tech support. Called from this number and also 004258967. 2 calls a day for 2 days so far. Indian sounding accents, very insistent and persistent . They said their number was 08000188351. Said they were calling with regards problems slowing down my oc on internet. I have reported to action fraud and suggest others do the same.

Guy with Asian sounding accent phone today saying he was from BT and that my internet would be down for a couple of days due to the fact that someone was using my internet connection illegally. When I asked him to prove he was from BT by giving me my home address, he said he would not be able to give any personal details over the phone. I suspected it was a scam and asked for a number I could call him back on. He gave me the number 0800 800 152 but when I dialled 1471, the number came up as 0208 777 5555. Spoke to BT after and they said it was a scam

SCAM….said called John from PC Experts in Oxford and needed to access my computer. I knew it was a scam from outset so kept him talking. Foreign accent, poor line…prob from abroad. As soon as he realised i was on to him he hung up. Very unsophisticated scam.

Just had a phone call stating that my computer had sent them software messages and my computer is in the first stage of software malfunctioning. When I asked how they got my home number they stated that it was the number I had brought my laptop through; as soon as they said this I knew it was suspicious because the number they called me on is my new phone number that I only had put in a few days ago and I have had my laptop for over 2 years now! As soon as I questioned who she was and the business she worked for she got very angry and just kept saying 'ma'am, your computer is about to have a software malfunction, I need you to switch your laptop on'. My laptop was already on so I searched the business she said she worked for 'PC EXPERTS, based on Oxford and found that they were a scan (which I had already figured out) so I just put the phone down.
