Took call from indian lady wanting to access my computer because her server was getting messages. He english accent was very difficult to understand especially as she spoke fast. I asked politely for her to slow down the question and speak a little clearer as i could not understand and she just started shouting at me an called be a F***k**g B*****D. sound like a perfectly normal call from microsoft ! I think not.
DO NOT TAKE A CALL FROM THESE PEOPLE DO NOT ANSWER IF U SEE THE NUMBER AND ADD IT TO YOUR BLOCKED LIST IF POSSIBLE TOTAL SCAMMERS -

Indian lady started telling me I had a problem with Windows. I told her that she was unscrupulous and I considered that her actions were those of the scum of the planet. I blocked the number using my CPR Callblocker gadget (there are many alternatives). I pay for my phone, it's for me, what gives anyone other than me the right to use it to harass me? The call blocker gives me peace and control over my phone again, but I had to pay for it. I want these low-life's to reimburse me. I really don't know how they can sleep at night, but clearly they do and do so without a hint of conscience.

I too have just had exactly the same call as others from this Asian guy. I don't understand how these people can still be operating from the same telephone number without having been investigated and taken offline by the Police. Because no scam has actually taken place, Action Fraud don't want the detail, just to record the attempted fraud in their stats. Presumably some people are falling for this.

I've had three calls today from 02088523462 five yesterday, every time trying to convince me that they are "Microsoft technical" that my computer is "sending them errors".
I know this is bs and decided today to have a nice long conversation with them about my background in networks engineering and how I know it is bs, but I understand that the guy on the other line is only doing his job and reading a script and that if he doesn't get abusive with me we should be able to resolve this.
I simply stated that, I am the only one at my address that deals with technical issues and every call they make here will be directed to me, they will never receive any money from anyone at this address and it is a waste of both my time and theirs for them to even try.
I really hope that they get the message now, maybe next time they ring I'll just keep them on the line all day... -

At least 5 call in the last 2 days about my computer having problems - mine is brand new and has had no problems that microsoft would need to deal with!!!!! Some are answered when I lift my hand set and some are not. This is verging on harassment!!

These people do not identify themselves they suggest that your computer is causing problems on the internet. If you allow them in investigate your computer they will show you all the problems that your computer is supposedly causing. Then for a fee of around £200 they will "clean" your computer. About six months later they will contact you again. Are these hackers?

We have had 5 calls from this number this week. Husband challenged them why he was calling and was given a load of abuse. Don't know if this has anything to do with it but we recently changed providers from Sky to Plusnet, also we were bombarded with calls like this a few years back when we switched from BT to Sky.the timeing just seams a bit odd

Asian female reportedly from "Windows Tech Support" called to tell me that that they had received numerous error messages from my computer and that she was there to help. Ran off a load of numbers and letter supposedly from my computer licence and when asked to repeat it the numbers and letters did not match. When asked to supply I.P. address hung up. "Windows Tech Support" would never ring. Total scam.

Asian gent phoned [very poor English]on 0208 8523462 stating that he was working for windows and that my computer was experiencing problems which was affecting its processing ability. I suspected a scam and played along, immediately unplugging my internet connection. He gave some basic commands i.e. 'eventvwr' and 'msconfig' in an attempt to prove his authenticity. He quoted my Microsoft Licence number and then stated he required me to re-connect to the internet. I asked why he couldn't have provided an e-mail request from Microsoft? He stated he would send one and surprise surprise, it never came. Very aggressive when being spoken to.

Claimed to be Natwest Bank and the National Crime Agency said £500 had been taken from account were giving back £5000 which we were to withdraw from the account and put into another account at Barclays Bank because that was nearer for us and we wouldn't have to travel as far! Absolute scammers, targeting vulnerable people.

Scammers. I just hang up as soon as they ask "how are you today?"....unless i feel like having some fun, then i reel off a long list of issues, like "preposterous piles" or "cretinous constipation". Don't even have a Windows computer, but that doesn't stop them calling.

This number called 3 times today someone claiming to be Dave from Windows Technical. We hung up first time then my wife answered and said thank you for your concern and how kind he was for notifying her there was a problem she would take the computer into the shop. Third time I answered and he said my computer ewas at risk as it had been hacked and my life could be in danger. I told him I knew who it was who was doing it they live down the road and I was going round there immediately to sort them out and he hung up on me.

Several calls now - Asian Guy calling from 'Windows Technical'about my computer. Apparently something wrong with my computer so need to turn it on so they could sort it out. I asked them to tell me what my computer IP address is - which obviously they can't tell me because they don't know who they are speaking to.
IT IS A SCAM - THEY WANT A ONE OFF, LIFETIME PAYMENT.
Told them it was a scam. He got angry at this. So I said don't call again and that I was reporting their number to police - Action Fraud. Also helpful to say you are checking with Microsoft and Police. Suggest you do report the number to Acton Fraud as suggested by other reports. -

Second call in a week from this number. This time the caller soon degenerated into obscene abuse. He threatened to call me hundreds of times until I went to hell. It would be funny if it wasn't potentially frightening for vulnerable people such as my disabled brother who fears such calls. I sincerely hope that the previous comments on this site about the fact that the Met Police are investigating are true and that this organisation gets shut down.

Hi, I'm Frank from WTC, how are you today? At which point I said, "Good morning, what are you selling?". Nothing but you have a problem with your windows pc. "really?". Yes, then launched into irrelevant techno babble at which point I said that he was talking horse sh1t, said good bye and hung up.
Looking through the comments this number has been running for months, has been reported to BT and the police but they're still operating??? For the love of God can someone in authority not shut down these b'stards? -

Several calls now - yesterday was told she (asian lady) calling from Windows Technical dept about my computer. Apparently something wrong with my computer! I needed to turn it on, give them my computer ID so they could sort it out. I asked for name, tel no and address and she gave me - Microsoft, Cambridge. BE WARNED IT IS A SCAM AND THEY WANT MONEY _ A ONE OFF, LIFETIME PAYMENT.
Eventually I told them it was a scam (she got angry at this) and to stop harassment calls. Also helps to say you are reporting them to Microsoft and Police. Suggest you report to Acton Fraud as suggested by other reports. -

Received numerous calls some unanswered from this no, answer yesterday and was told calling from windows regarding my computer, to which I replied delete me from your data base, and was told this couldnt be done, so I hung up. Just had a call from David today stating someone has hacked my computer and I need to turn it on and confirm my computer ID to sort it out, I told him I wasnt doing this and he said they would have to block my computer if this wasnt done, I asked for his name, tel no and address to which he gave me microsofts, kingdom st, and I said I would call him back, he said he would ring me in an hour, but I told him to stop bullying me and would call him back after I have made a call to check this up. After making the call and checking this no I will not be giving out any details, and if they persist will be contacting microsoft and the police. Thankyou for the information on this no.

Yet another series of calls (5 in all over the course of an hour) from these thieving b****rds today. Kept trying to tell me it was my windows 7 pc, then gave me a spurious windows registration number, but couldn't let me know my IP address. Then when I told her it was a windows 10 machine, switched to telling me it was my windows server. I do run a server, but it's Linux! They really won't give up will they!

Call from Micro Technical - Asian lady, wantingd to talk to the main user of computer. Asked why? She did not have a name and got agitated when I wouldn't give her any info. When I asked where she got our number from, she said this is the number we registered our computer on. Told her that wasn't true and asked her to give me the computer IP number after several minutes of requesting this - she hung up.

I actually love these calls. I work in IT so know exactly what type of issues certain non PC literate people have and I pulled every one of them. Ala Homer Simpson; "Where's the Any Key" lol
Last time they called, kept them on the phone for nearly 90mins trying to get them to reset my password to log in, then told them I couldn't get to the web page. After an hour I told them I didn't have broadband. They then asked how I got on the Internet, I told them I dialled up. I then proceeded to find a modem sound board app on my mobile and played that down the phone whilst talking to him. I could hear the frustration in his voice but he persisted. I almost felt sorry for him. Clearly working on commission before passing the phone over to somebody who actually knows what they are in about !!

Asian chap called again, must be at least 5 times in the last week. I thought, he must be really concerned about my windows, so for once, purely for entertainment reasons, i took the call. The usual are you the owner of the computer etc etc. I spent the next 5 minutes talking to him about my double glazed windows and telling him he should buy some when he finally gave up and started calling me all sorts and put the phone down. He called again immediately and i let it go to voicemail. Sat and listened to the noise of a call center in the background before he hung up again. Oh such fun, looking forward to my next call now :)
n.b. before I obtained this thing I used to try and convert them to an imaginary ten percent religion. They hung up quite quick!
