I have received several obscene, abusive calls, pretending to be a police officer saying my son had died..Eventually told me it was The Hernandez Group of Companies...gave me post code HP5 2AP...doubtful information

Received a call from this number from a man asking for my husband. Suspecting it was a sales call, I said that my husband wasn't in, and asked if I could help. He put the phone down. Have now saved this number on caller id as "Do Not Answer"!

Please see my comments from previous day. I rated it at 1 by mistake, should have been 9 for untrustworthy - BEWARE THESE PEOPLE!!! Why are they not being investigated, they know their number & where they are. I contacted BT, but they didn't want to know.

Lady with foreign accent called to say she could get a refund from the bank for me. I said if its PPI I haven't had a loan so you can't help. She said hang on do you have any credit cards, I asked who she was, she didn't reply & asked about credit cards again, I told her I was not giving away personal details to a stranger on the phone, so she called me STUPID, I got angry & said how dare you call me & say that, she said you are STUPID & put down the phone. Moments later the phone rang again, the said woman said "YOU STUPID MOTHER F#*@KING BITCH" and put the phone down. I done 1471 and this number came up, i rang it back & the same woman answered but tried to put on an English accent, she said it was a residential number but wasn't suprised at all that I had called, but we got cut off. I tried the number again but got "this number does not accept incoming calls"!!!!!!!

Agree with everything said above. Also agree with ASE above. whats the point in having TPS and being ex directory. Now got caller ID phone and unless I know the number I dont answer. This still affects my quality of life. I constantly miss calls from family abroad, and the constant ringing of the phone irritates me. SOmetimes I unplug the phone, but then why bother having a phone at all!!!!! Somebody please do something about such callers!

Female called to say we had a refund if we answered three quick questions, i asked a refund from where, she said 'your bank' so i told her to go away and stop bothering us, and we were not interested. Have reported them to nuisance call registry

A female named Sam, rang my wife, and my wife asked if they where selling PPI and she said " We want to send you a bomb" and put the phone down.

when I asked to be removed from contact list he told me to shut up I told him not to be rude and he said I was rude I asked for his boss and he said I'm the boss round here told me to listen and I asked again to be removed from the mailing list - he told me he would carry on calling me and annoying me.

It looks as though they're back at work after the Holidays... received a call from 'SAM' (who sounds American(?)) Said he was from 'Consumer Refunds' or something!
He asked for 'Mr Charles'. I told him he had the wrong number to which he asked if I was the owner of the number. I asked if he was on to sell anything, I'm not interested. Usual bull about he's not selling, but.... then went on to say crap about 'refunds' and 'payment protection'. Told him not to bother going any further as I really was not interested. He shouted something and hung up.
What's the point of TPS, ex-directory numbers, and websites claiming that if you report a number that it'll be dealt with, when ...... well, nothing happens at all? -

I always answer my 'phone with my first name and surname. As soon as I did so, the caller hung-up. I've had this kind of call on dozens of occasions over the past few years, but on this occasion my 1471 actually returned 0208 870 1001. When I tried the number, it returned a "this number does not accept incoming calls" message.
