He called when I really had no time. It was first silent then someone who sounded very Indian claimed to call from Tech support and said his name is Michael. He said there is a problem with my computer. I said "No there isn't. This is a scam" and I hung up. On other reports he apparently claimed to be from Microsoft.

I did not recognise the number. I Googled it and found this site, which has a large number of people saying it is a scam call, so I blocked it.

Claimed to be from Coventry, offering to help with a serious problem on my computer. I asked him what sort of computer he thought I had. He cleverly said he didn't know and would not ever access my computer because that would be illegal. I pretended to play along for a bit, until he got annoyed with my frivolous answers to questions and hung up. Definitely a fraudster.
