   Calls every week insisting she is from Octopus Energy, once she forgot & initially said British Gas then realised & said Octopus, she asks for the accounts department & starts waffling on about an error on the account. When you challenge her she gets argumentative & says she is calling from Octopus & can prove it. It's relentless. Can block them until the cows come home but they continue to call on other lines.

   Even after being blocked, the number still seems to somehow come through. Even after being told to stop calling, the same woman keeps calling then getting argumentative on the line. Do not trust.

   Called 27 times this morning, spoke to a female a couple of times, I said it was a scam, she insisted that it wasn't but she did say that she was phoning from our energy provider - scam radar went off again. Very persistent especially when I stated that it was a scam again, to remove our details from their database. Why did they need to phone 27 times?

   Said they were from [XYZ Energy] (my actual provider). Said there had been a billing mistake and our postcode was incorrectly detailed and it meant we'd likely get someone else's bill.
   
   Was trying to get me to confirm details on our latest bill. Proceeded to read out our MPAN number (which was correct).
   
   My spidey senses were going off big time.
   
   I refused to confirm or give any more info, said I'll call my supplier direct. Then they said there were really long queue times and best to continue, further confirmation it's some kind of scam.
   
   If in doubt always end the call and call your supplier direct on a number you know to be correct.

   Called me again this morning. Saying they were from my supplier [quoted the correct company] and the meter reading department.
   
   I said I don't believe you are from them, and they just hung up. Further confirmation it's a scam.

   This guy called sayin he was from my energy compny. Total scam! He keeps calling even after I told him to stop. Ruder than a badger!!!
