Liz N replied 4/16/21, 11:41 AMJust had a mobile number call off a person called Ivan from the Credit Investigation Bureau (sounded Indian or Pakistani - sound the same to me). Told him he was a scam merchant and hung straight up. Heard all about this so knew it was an indian call centre scamming the vulnerable. Luckily I'm pretty sceptical about everything so smelled a rat right away. -

I have numerous mobile numbers they call from and its getting annoying! How can I stop them from calling me? Total scammers. 07712594353 and 07843987527 called me today. Getting constantly called by these people at all hours different mobile numbers , they claim to be from the CAB , so when I questioned why the citizens advise would be calling me he said because of covid , also used the name credit (investigation department)so I questioned this and he said why am I wasting his time , I said I wasn’t it was my right to question someone asking for my bank details,
He offended me.
Personally I don’t think cab operators use this firm of approach

Keep getting calls from mobile numbers claiming to be from Debt Advice/Credit Investigation Department. Threatened to call the police multiple times if they keep calling but they just hang up. Always Asian voices. Don’t fall for this scam.

I’ve been unfortunate enough to have picked up a few calls from this company. They’ve been unpleasant and violently abusive when they don’t get their way - last night I lost it and told the man to Foxtrot Oscar . No matter how you block their numbers they just call from another. I have now reported them to the FCA. So if you happen to ring me with a new number or withheld number please leave a message on my voicemail.

Keep getting calls from this number on landlines and now getting calls on mobile have asked several times to be removed but nothing even asked to speak to a manager and then to his manager to have number removed but still getting calls.have even asked for address to write to soi can complain but nothing so will keep answering the calls and see if I can eventually get an address to write to orcontact ofcom/or trading standards

Was a call from number 07877881697 claiming to be from credit investigation, the guy on end of phone was Indian, told him didn't have any credit cards and he said oh and hung up the phone. Have had many calls from different numbers claiming the same thing.

Called from the credit investigations bureau, had previously called, when I told them to remove my number as I don't have any credit cards or debts. Got another call today, and I hung up. They called me back, asked why I hung up and called me horrible names down the phone and hung up. They called back 3 times and hung up each time I picked up. Their number is now blocked!!
