We have a BT call Guardian blocker 8500 phone. This number had been on our barred list for several months...cannot remember details of who it was from then but rang again yesterday after not ringing for about 6 months....did not leave message or get through as blocked already

This number telephoned me today, guy called Ray or Roy cannot remember which to say he was checking about my appointment this afternoon for my energy company check. I said I didn't know what he wA talking about. His tone turned completely nasty and spoke to me like I was stupid! " you have had a letter and agreed to this" he said and at which point I could hear a voice in the background saying no she hasn't had a letter. By this time I realised it was telemarketing and told him not nicely where to go as I was furious. To top it all my phone rang again same number which I ignored, but a message was left on my answerphone. The message was this guy heavy breathing. Is this firm so thick that it employs idiots to make what I presume he thought was going to frighten me a heavy breathing phone call but leave the number as well !! Well Ray or Roy it didn't work and I actually can laugh about it now you absolute sad excuse of a man.

My phone rang, I answered and there was a brief bit of music before someone spoke. They asked for my Mum by first name and knew she was my Mum!!! I said she wasn't in and could I take a message, but be paused and said he just wanted a chat with her and would ring back later. I said OK and then he said "OK, bye, love you"!!!!! What the dickens!?!

A man rang, (knew my name and address) said he was from Energy Care Trust and was phoning to arrange to survey my house as it's required by government. It seemed suspicious so asked why I hadn't heard anything about it. He said I should have had a letter and said "so, are you refusing it then?". I said I wanted to see it writing, so he said they would send another letter. Probably trying to get home insulation work.

Call from Richard at Energy Care ringing to arrange a time for his company to visit my house the following day to do an energy assessment. He was very condescending and because I wasn't interested he said I obviously had a bee in my bonnet. Told him not to speak to me like that and put the phone down. The number rang me again several times until I blocked the number on my phone
