No idea why people saying it is a scam. It was Scottish Widows about a pension transfer I am doing. It cannot be a legit number and a scam at the same time.

Cold called a mobile phone number registered to a 12 year old who has no banking relationship with Lloyds group. Did not answer. Phoned back, automated messaged claimed to be Lloyds Bank, and said they would call back at a more convenient time (presumably of their random choosing). Sounds like a scam, looks like a scam, walks like a scam...

As having to regret the complaint on the form I’ve written to contact me through email but instead receiving constant phone calls through the morning (voice-messages too), wishing they were organised about their well-being’s costumer’s sleep’ LOL ? too early! *blocked*
I wish these bank companies offered something useful and more convenient to add out of account “chat to us” service. -

I phone Lloyd's in regards to fraud shutting my card off (I went on a shopping spree) I get a call back, not from lloyds but from another number. The person on the other end said "good evening" to me. (Its 11.58AM so there's no way it could be mistaken) very fishy.

I have been called by this number a few times today. A voicemail had previously been left claiming to be from Lloyds Bank. I answered to check if it was important. The Asian lady wanted person details. I refused. She became agitated. I decided to terminate the call and check with Lloyds.
It was not a call from Lloyds Bank. Lloyds BG do not call you. -

Repeatedly cold calls me as a professional sounding personal banking advisor with Lloyds to discuss my future goals. I’ve said I have nothing to talk about to them but the same person keeps calling and leaving messages. Very odd.

Keeps ringing saying my account manager. Both Lloyds phone banking staff and in branch staff have confirmed there is no such role and I would not be assigned an indivisible account manager. Additionally, a request I made to him was never followed up.

You should never RECEIVE a call from an 0800 number, however it is identified as legitimate. They are used (as far as I am informed) for incoming calls to the organisation only. In my case it was used as a GHOST number for some trying to interest me in a govrnment initiative for loft insualation. This DOES NOT EXIST.

Said they were from Halifax fraud team as someone had tried to set up an account online in my name. They wanted to go through security questions with me but I didn’t want to so she said she’d post something. I rang Halifax to check. They said an account had been opened on my name which they shut down immediately and the 0800 number was from scammers. Don’t be fooled!!

Caller allegedly from Lloyd's. How can a bank uses a random BT multi user number? Don't they get enough monies to buy their own number? Reading the comments from Halifax, Lloyd's I suspect its either a common number for all banks or a fraudulent company. Yet banks aren't trustworthy nowadays. You can close any account with any identity. Call and change signatures, payees etc. Even the banks suffer from the loss of common sense and laziness.

Genuine callback from my bank. Provided details only bank would have before starting the call.
Pamela replied 6/17/20, 9:07 AMI had rang Halifax and missed them answering my call . A few minutes later a lady rang and said she was calling from the bank . I asked her which bank ? She said she had seen my number and was calling me back . I asked again which bank she said she couldn’t tell me until we had gone through security . I said I would call again . Seemed plausible but when she wouldn’t give name of bank I got suspicious. -

Claimed to be from loans.co.uk about a loan I had in the past. I couldn't answer the security questions as I had no idea what loan they were talking about. They wouldn't give me any information. From the other comments here they seem to be claiming to be a lot of organisations.

Lady caller from Lloyds Investments, sounded quite confident and plausible asked to talk to someone who has been dead for 3 years to review their Lloyds Investments. Clearly a scam. Strange that the following day we had a call from 01704 524015 (apparently another very dodgey number)asking to talk to the same dead person!
