   This is a genuine call from BT doing what all companies do. Try to get you to buy more products, however they can sometimes offer you a better deal than your current package/deal you are on.

   Have just called BT to check with them as this number has called several times and spoken with my parter who advises I wasn’t available.
   BT say it’s a scam as they would never call without sending prior written information I.e. a email about your billing.

   What morbid satisfaction do these revolting cretins get from wasting other people's time and causing sometimes severe stress to the elderly. They should be fined a minimum £100 for the first call and subsequently this figure should double for every future offence.

   Automated recording started off claiming to be calling on behalf of Bt from some company I'd don't recall but cut off before message got much further

   Tweeted BT about this number - long silence, noisy background and truly awful engagement made me suspicious despite suggesting they were from BT. Will be watching this for repeats

    08009539090 << this number keeps ringing my land line .. so far I've only found they have rang when dialling 1471 to see which number was the last to ring.
    
    How can I stop them ringing me??
    Help on this would be appreciated.
