   Phone every day, number does not answer when called back, it says to press 9 to opt out- doesn't do that they just keep calling. Very annoying.

   I had a call from this number offering a new boiler for £17 per month. Pressed 5 and ‘Shona’ asked “how may I help you ?” I said “Hello Shona, before we start could you tell me who you are and how you got my number?” she said “err, no!” and hung up.

    Try a BT call control enabled phone.
    I've got 1 last month, and now my phone won't ring unless a real person gives name and presses * key, and then I can refuse call if wish to.
    
    Ultimately automated calls only display as a missed call, and will not ring :)
