Core Telecom also provide numbers to many other companies too, pretty much all the numbers in the 0844xxxxxxx block belong to core telecom and are rented out to pests like K&T

I have been called 12 times since June 9, 2016. They first say The national date base shows you have not had an energy assessment. I HAVE had a recent energy assessment. I do not like these calls and I think they are connected to my phone hacking problems. I get at least two marketing calls a day not all from this number and I think they are linked to a local call center that may be hacking my line. The call center is on the Isle of Bute in Scotland. If anyone knows anything about this please post your experience. Thank you.

This is an automated call about boilers. TPS makes no difference. Tried pressing 9 to no avail. Getting calls almost daily. When I called the number immediately after their call to me there was a message saying the number was temporarily not working.

I have been plagued with calls from this number for months now, sometimes several calls a day. Having previously reported this to the ICO with no apparent action, I have contacted my MP -there is a website where you can draft a letter to them. I have received correspondence from my MP informing me she has written to the Information Commissioner and the Chief Executive Officer to ask him to investigate and to let her know what course of action he proposes to resolve this unwelcome action.
I suggest if everyone receiving these unwarranted and harassing calls contacts their MP which takes less than 5 minutes we may at last see some positive action against these cowboys. -

Im f*****g sick of these calls coming in, countless times a day, on average 4-5 times every day without fail. i have my youngest child who is severely disabled, anve to aer these calls, as these numbers are similar to nhs numbers etc,so i have no option but to take these calls incase it is something important. I am forever pressing 9 to opt out etc, but thats a lot of s***e, cos they keep phoning again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and its becoming very annoying. i pressed 2 to speak to someone, immediately asked how old my boiler was, told them it was six months old, which it is, and that i want them to stop calling, was told quite bluntly to press option 9 like the automated reply tells you and to point blank "f**k off" by some cheeky cow. its getting dealt with by bt chairmans office as we speak.

This number has been calling my landline approx. 7-8 times a day for the past 5 days. I always check 0844 numbers before I answer, so I have been ignoring this once I saw the negative comments left on this site.
How can I stop them calling altogether? -

getting calls from this number at least 10 times a day - seems to be a computer that calls you. I have tried pressing option to speak to a human who say they can't remove you.
I have also pressed option 9 to be removed, doesn't seem to work.
This number I think is for different companies, as each time the recorded message is different - cold calling -

Daily phone call received from this company. Pressed 2 and got told to f**k off when I said I was on TPS list.
Phoned ICO and asked what they actually do for their government funding. This company has been making these calls for at least 2 years.
My suggestion is to contact your MP or the press and embarrass ICO into doing the job they are paid for.
Also I was told in the past by one of these companies that the 'compare' companies sell your details to companies like these so be wary who you use in future. -

Receiving calls about boiler replacement every couple of days and I am now about to put it on my Truecall machine. The best £100 I ever spent. I seldom get nuisance cals these days but as soon as I have time I Google them to check authenticity, then put them on the Truecall if not trusted. I am hard of hearing, most know this and I seldom get calls now unless important.

Fed up getting these call,I am old and the stress of getting up,to answer the phone.Then either get recorded message,silence(frightning) or saying government help in getting new boiler,I say not my house rented,down the phone goes.It just so annoying as could be important call,so have to try to reach phone in time.I am TPS registered.

This time nothing. Hung up. I have had the recorded message and I've had someone call and talk. She was English from energy efficiency. I just say. I'm not a home owner. Once I was told well you can still a actually be able to receive it on her behalf. .which I found quite..unbelievable. .that was from this number not the energy efficiency call. But found that a bit too good too be true. I'm a private let. I'm on benefits..scam me thinks lol

Receiving 4-5 calls from this number every day, automated, regarding energy efficient gas boiler. It says press 2 to book appointment or 9 to stop receiving these calls. I have pressed 9 several times, makes no difference and have pressed 2 twice and tried to explain I have a new boiler only for them to put the phone down!!!! Sick to the back teeth of them.

As soon as I heard it to be an automated call and that it was trying to sell me a boiler - and I don't even have gas!!! - I zapped them on my TrueCall unit. Ever since, their numerous calls have been zapped by the TrueCall unit and I'm not even aware that they have called until I view my log of calls.
Incidentally, I have done tis to many other similar callers and there are quite a lot now who never get through and, or grater importance, don't bother or interrupt me. -

My TPS registration means nothing they call from this and other similar numbers frequently if not daily! I know others have commented negatively about them, I'll simply say this they are an unwanted caller and as long as they pester me I shall continue to warn others about this!

Getting calls from this number every day. Tell me I an not on the 'National Database' (whatever that is) and I need to register for a free energy assessment. This is harassment and possibly fraudulent. Please, everyone, report this to the ICO number each and every time they phone you.

Recorded message about "The National Database shows you have not yet had your energy efficiency survey.........all homes need to have a A-rated boiler by 2017." What national database? Press 2 for more information, 9 to stop receiving these calls. I did neither. Number now blocked on my call blocker. This is the same message as I got from 0844 337 3015 and 0844 337 3019 last week, which I have reported to the information commissioner. Our number is ex directory and registered with TPS. Will also report this number to the IC.
