   Like many others we had calls, then a letter from Direct Debt Collections (which was laughably full of spelling mistakes and had no address/tel no on it), for an advert we had supposedly put in Community Living Magazine. I thought I would contact the Magazine to see what they knew about the whole Ocean Marketing situation and on their contacts page is this:
   OCEAN MARKETING
   If you have received an invoice from this company for an advertisement in Community Living, please report it to Action Fraud, tel. 0300 1232040.
   Community Living has no relationship or agreement with Ocean Marketing and we have not carried any advertising from them.
   
   Have now contacted Action Fraud and been given the advice to simply put down the phone if they call and not respond to any communication from them, but report it to Action Fraud. They also gave me a Crime Reference number.
   So anyone else contacted by this bogus firm, please do the same!

   I have witnessed family getting harassment calls, invoices and debt collection threats from these stupid people. The magazine they claim to place ads in, is also aware of their scam and of course has no arrangement with them whatsoever. Report them to Trading Standards and Action Fraud and if they send letters, ignore them but keep a record of them so that when they do get caught (a matter of time) you can contribute evidence if required. If they phone you, seriously don't waste your time. They are really thick, as the debt collection company they have conjured up is at the same address - which doesn't collect their mail (we traced it and no collection was ever made) - so please don't lose any sleep or let your blood boil - they are a bunch of losers trying their luck and by the response on here - failing dismally at it.

   SAME AS ALL THE ABOVE - THREATENING PHONE CALLS, BILLS ETC I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE A LETTER FROM DEBT COLLECTION AGENCY BUT NO DOUBT IT WILL ARRIVE. I HAVE ALSO CONTACTED TRADING STANDARDS BUT I'M NOT SURE WHAT THEY CAN DO.

   Same as everyone else....phone call...ad and invoice....threats of increase in bill....Have taken advice from solicitor and written recorded delivery letter which they say haven't received but checked with local delivery office and delivery attempted. Letter awaiting collection as card left telling them so. Trading standards aware and also going to write to BBC watchdog -rip off britain and don't get done get Dom!

   Action Fraud are very interested in this company. Report any contact to 03001232040 (Action Fraud). The more information they receive the more able they are to take action against these scammers.

   I too have been hassled by this company Ocean Marketing. The scam is the same as reported here. Ive had threatening phone calls and letters, and now the threat of Direct Debit Collections! All false companies,they do not exist. Reported to trading standards. Im glad I found this site to see I am not alone.

   So relieved to see I am not the only one to have been harassed. Very, very pushy lady on the phone. Has rung at least three times. Equally worrying DIRECT DEBT COLLECTIONS letter. Rang another company called Ocean Marketing who I found on Google. I was the 5th caller in a fortnight with the same query ie chasing payment for spurious ads.

   I have had the same experince as above and have been searching the intenet to see if this had affected others and this is the first site I have found. Ocean Marketing contacted me about this for a bill for £399 and even sent me a copy of the ad that I had allegedly ordered in their "Community Living Mag". They have now sent me the letter after severeal attempts of contacting me and now are asking for 25% of the cost from a debt collection agency named "Direct Debit Collections". Seriously?! They could have thought of a better name?! Thank god I have found other people that this had happened to. If anyone else can provide further details and who is the best organsation to report this to then please let me know?

   I had exactly the same situation!They cut and pasted my homepage of my website, wanted £300 for it and had no explanation of where they were going to place it. Jessica the lady who trys to intimidate you seems to be the managing director, sales team, accounts team and debt collector all folled into one big fat scammer, busy lady! Eventually sent me a debt collectors letter,I had already reported them to action fraud and after I made her aware of this they actually rang and left a message claiming to be action fraud asking for me to send all paperwork back to their address!! I went to the police with my debt collectors letter because Iam on my own with my children and started to get stressed that they may send fake debt collectors! The police advised to send letter just stating 'I dispute this debt' just to protect myself, sadly they said they hadn't commited a crime as such because no money changed hands.Feel so much better for reading other comments on here.

   After numerous calls and letters demanding payment for a non existant order with Ocean Marketing I have now received a letter from a 'so called' debt recovery company..Direct Debt Collections - no address - no phone number!!! Please!! BUT I have been offered a 25% discount payable direct to Ocean Marketing's bank account or 'office' address Number 1, 45 Blakemore Walk, M12 6PH. Obviously I have no intentions of paying a penny. I am reporting latest contact to Action Fraud.

    Same as the other people commenting here. Company called Ocean Marketing called to trying to sell some advertising. My wife said send some details and she would have a look. 6 days later an invoice arrives, nothing was ordered on the phone. Next day a very unpleasant harassment call received demanding payment. A bogus recording was played intimating a possible order. Reporting this to trading standards. Bottom line don't call this number as it is premium rate and don't give out any info to anyone making unsolicited calls. The address is a terraced house in Manchester and no company operates there.

    the same as pete these dreadful scammers should be stopped the calls are intimidating with demand for money in my case £149 got a reminder for payment this morning have sent it back to the address (which on tracing seems to be a private house which is up for sale) return to sender, have reported this to trading standards and citizens advice was given the number for action fraud

    I've been contacted by 4 different 'companies' over the past months who I have supposed to have agreed to advertise in their various community/emergency services magazines. All so far have turned out to be scams. Fortunately I've not paid any of them. The latest is Ocean Marketing - has anyone heard of them.

    I have had calls from these people too, saying we owe money for advertising, i have now called trading standards!!!!

    YES I HAVE HAD EXACTLY THE SAME AND A VERY PERSISTANT LADY CALLED JESSICA i REPORTED IT TO ACTION FRAUD FOR INVESTIGATION . I WAS ADVISED TO TELL THEM YOU KNOW ITS A SCAM AND HANG UP
