I got this number today,but didn't answer, and just got office background noise on the answer machine. This is despite only having changed my landline number a couple of weeks ago (because of many such scamming and harassment calls).I went ex directory and only let a few friends know the new number.
How on earth did these scumbags manage to get the new number, and does anyone know if contacting Fraud Alert will help? -

Usual daily call - we don't answer and they just go "Hello? Hello?" to the answering machine. Can hear other people in the background doing the same thing. Boring and a waste of their time and ours.

Another firm selling Green energy wanting to know if I can benefit from Government funding. Told them I was on TPS
tony replied 3/28/14, 12:17 PMYes it seems to be selling 'green' energy. They claim not to be selling but of course they are. You by solar from them and pay for it via sales of green energy to your supplier. It is a bending of the TPS rules - coach and horses style. No good complaining to the DMA (who run the TPS because the DMA are responsible for pushing direct marketing. To be clear the first DMA is not the same as the Second DMA despite sharing a physical office, an email address and probably staff!
