   I can confirm this is absolutely genuine. I had 2 messages after an online payment asking to reply and quote a 3 digit pin number. Being suspicions by nature I called customer services number (it's on the back of your card so you know you are definitely talking to Santander). They put me through to their security team who verified it was them. It's good to know they do these checks to be fair, but in this day and age how do we trust the texts they send lol :-)

   This is a Santander number used to verify possible fraudulent transactions. I put through a payment that they did not recognise and I got a call and text to my mobile and another call to my landline to query it within 5 minutes. It's an annoying system but it is genuinely from Santander.

   Its Santander fraud security - ignore the muppet who said it is a scam as they clearly have something against Santander.

   Ive had four automated calls from 0845 3550064 over two days regarding a fraud on my Santander account. But it is not me they want but the lady who lived at this address 14 years ago. She is now 92 and in a care home in another county and doesnt bank with Santander. I didnt bother to respond to this auto message. Could some scammers have somehow hijacked this number? If the previous owner had picked up this call she might have had a heart attack with worry. If it is Santander they should stop this practice and send fraud notifications by mail, not this robotic carry on.

    If this is genuine then Santander want to think again. Scammers try to behave like Banks but when Banks behave like Scammers we've really got a problem

    Received 4 calls this morning from 08453550064 stating it was Santander Fraud Dept. Phoned Santander and they definitely stated that this number is FRAUDULENT and is not one of their numbers used.

    I didn't receive a call from (08453550064) until AFTER I'd sorted the problem with Santander.
    
    This is fraudulent.
