They claimed to be from Microsoft security/tech support, said they had found a problem with my PC and needed access to fix it.
I asked them that IF they did get a report , please tell me the operation system I am using.
I was handed over to "The Tech" and he claimed I was using Windows , I asked to be more precise on which one.His answer was windows 7 , vista
32 bit.
I replied that I was using a 64 bit.
He hung up , and I was just beginning to have fun.
I lied , I run a 32 bit XP box.
Just have fun and keep them going by saying your system crashed , please hang on while I reboot ... and keep talking and asking questions .. its time to waste their time :)

Missed a call from this number (210 249 0540 TX,USA)... Googling came up with indications that it's used for a variety of different businesses, several of which have been classed as 'unauthorised for trading in the UK' by the Financial Services Authority. If you receive a call from this number, especially if it's on your mobile, do not answer and do not try to call back as it will cost you a fortune!

Multiple calls every day for the last couple of weeks. Due to a number of similar calls from the same no in the past I just leave them to voice mail now but no message ever left. Getting really fed up now. Being ex-directory and TPS registered means nothing!

Got a call several days ago, possibly Tuesday which nobody spoke and dial tone came back. Did 1471 (I'm also in UK) and it said 001 000 000 0000. How odd I thought but thought no more of it until about 5 minutes ago when I got another call and when I picked up (I don't have caller ID so I can't see the number before picking up) the line went dead again. Nobody spoke and this time 1471 came up with this number 001 210 249 0540 so here I am. :)

It is a shame that the phone companies who take a cut from all these calls are powerless to act against the originators.
Almost as though they condone anything as long as they get paid for it. To whoever did this, the time I wasted worrying about my family in the USA, I will never get back.
