Repeat as iPhone on 21 April2014. I am getting *sick to death* (substitute your own epithet)of interruptions at my home by these scamming (sounds like) Indian continent individuals claiming to be either calling "about my computer" or "from the Windows Service Centre". This is the first time I rang 1471 after putting the phone down on them (or they cutting me off as I go ballistic. I was extremely surprised it wasn't a hidden number, but I am presuming that it is a number hidden behind this one. Anyway, there you go for the info.

I have been called by this today. As I had nothing else to do I decided to play along. He told me I had malicious software/hacking on my pc and he would tell me what to do to repair it. (haha)
I played a bit daft etc, and he said he had my unique CLL number, so I asked him to tell me what it was whereupon he wanted me to press the windows key and R. DON'T. It will give him control remotely. I said I had, and he asked what I could see on my screen - answered, same as you. Asked again what number he had and what was showing on his screen, kept saying yes every time he asked if I had done it, after about 15 mins he gave up and rang off. Quite disappointed actually, was enjoying winding him up.

Woman with Indian sounding accent, plus lots of giggling and laughter in the background. Claimed I had a computer problem; "sending out messages...". Told her I was a qualified IT tech and she put the phone down straight away. Fed up with these scam calls!
