Just had a call from this number,man with very strong Asian accent, saying he could stop nuisance calls to my number for a fee, so told him I was more than capable of dealing with such calls and that he was just such a call himself!

A man saying his name was Max called, to say he was from the Call Prevention Service and could let me have a unit to plug in the back of my phone to prevent nuisance marketing and cold calls. Would send me the unit and there was a small admin fee of £1.90 per month for 3 years, but would need the money upfront. Told him brilliant idea and that he was making a cold marketing call, which he said he would prevent!! He wasn't happy. Shame isn't it?

Phoned by ''james''. Callcentre noises in the background. Claimed to be from the telephone preference service and able to block nuisance calls from abroad. Load of poo! That is not possible. told him where to go, am reporting this on every phone number site I can find!
Marilyn replied 8/26/14, 12:11 PMI had the same kind of call....could barely understand the Indian accent. I kept him on the phone asking questions knowing full well this was a scam....it's great getting your own back on these unscrupulous people who insist on wasting our time. -

Got a call, pretended to be from TPS, the guy had a thick african accent... fun stuff that fraudsters pretend now to be from the organization supposed to protect us from them!

They called me the day after I registered my phone with TPS, claiming to be with TPS, heavy Indian accent. Wanted £1.91 pcm to block & instantly report nuisance calls. Promptly hung up on me when I said this is a nuisance call.
