Michael reported Baron-Moore with the number +85258083610 as Telemarketer
SCAM ALERT! I also got a series of phone calls from this “company.” First, someone from a call center conducting a survey called, then a marketing agent followed by a “broker.” Finally, I got referred to the legal department that wanted to rush me into signing an order confirmation and provided me with an urgent transfer instruction for a bulk order of shares at a discounted rate. It was clear from the beginning that this was a total scam. Online research reveals that there is no legitimate financial services firm by that name. Everything is fake - the testimonials on the website, the proxy registration of the domain, the names of the callers, the supposed location of the company, etc. Insist on a telephone number and you will be told that they are too busy to provide you with one or that it is against company policy. Ask for a financial registration number and they answer that it is confidential. Question why you should transfer money to a third company and they will respond that this is a “clearing house” associated with a bank. Insist on proof for this and there will be awkward gaps of silence, mumbling and the insistence that they would never ever want to cheat you. Does anybody fall for this? These fumblers would not pass a Financial Fraud for Dummies course.

Ultrascan reported Baron-Moore Associates with the number +85258083610 as Harassment calls
The calls originate from a boiler room which has been running many scams in the past and has claimed to be based in (among other jurisdictions) Greece, Spain, Hong Kong and Japan. The names of the callers are fake, the websites are registered by proxy and they use anonymous telephone numbers. They open bank accounts in Cyprus, Hong Kong and other places set up through fake companies which exist for the sole purpose of defrauding unsuspecting victims. Fraud is a serious crime. If you are contacted by one of these criminals try to record the conversation and forward this as well as any documents you receive to [email protected] Contact your local police force to press charges and ask them to track your phone calls.

Investigator John reported Baron Moore with the number +85258083610 as Aggressive advertising
I got a couple of phone calls from the folks at Baron Moore Associates. They tried to sell me legitimate stocks they had bought in bulk at a discounted rate. There were a number of obvious red flags: 1. The callers used an anonymous number and would not provide me with their real number because they were "always busy" or on "the trading floor." 2. The domain www.baron-moore.com was registered by proxy. Which serious financial services business would do that? 3. The domain was registered last year but the business supposedly exists for many years. 4. I received instructions to transfer money for my shares to a company called Hamtron Limited. When I asked why I should transfer the money to them and not to Baron Moore, I was told that this was "a clearing house." That's not the way any legitimate financial services provider would work. 5. I asked for a registration number with the financial authorities of any country because I could not find a record for Baron Moore in Hong Kong being registered as a broker anywhere in the world. I was told that Baron Moore was registered as a broker on the Hang Seng and NASDAQ. However, a quick online search revealed this to be a blatant lie. 6. When confronted with this lie, my "broker" told me that the registration number was "confidential." 7. The persons I talked to used English, Chinese and Spanish names but from their accent, I could tell that they were not native speakers of those language but were impersonating themselves as such. 8. The company has issued a couple of fake press releases but if you go on their website you will quickly realize that it does not feel real. For example, the photos of the people in the testimonials section look like they were bought on IStockPhoto or Shutterstock. Need I continue?
