I applied for a job here which was advertised under home and commercial services. I attended an interview which was really just a man talking about what we were supposed to do and asking if we had any questions and we were told to write our name, age and number down if we would be interested. Everything seemed way to informal to me, the receptionist was wearing jeans, a top and trainers along with the rest of the staff but a job was a job so I didn't question it. I was invited back for an induction day a few days later and we were given the script for the calls and only then did I realise this was the first we learned the name of the company we were calling for, any other company I have applied for I researched before hand. They use cold calling and even if people say they have a Dyson but don't require the service they highlight the number to call again at some point. I had asked if the price of the service ever changed and the manager struggled to answer the question.

This company was out at my house last thursday doing a service on my dyson at £15 service charge and two filters were purchased also terrific job by the engineer chris.

After telling me at the interview which wasn't really an interview was basically listen to the manager on what they do there he said you have the job basically went in for introduction done it come home got told I would get a call for my shifts let that night got a call and got told I was unsuccessful after being told I had the job if I liked it really? Use all need to get your stories straight I have been used cause I was told there was short staff use smoke in that building use are totally dodgy! For every bodies advise I wouldn't apply for this even if use think money is money I wouldn't I seen it as money is money had my hopes up to be told utter crap this place is dodgy as fuck they don't pay into your bank don't have a pay roll says it all say it's calling to book insurance on people's vac cleaners is it fuck it's to go rob old people sad as fuck use are something Elsa

I was harrassed with four calls to my home by this company in the space of twenty minutes.
the third call i recived was a call centre agent who heaily breathed down the phone at me and the next call was a women calling to fyrther harrass me by asking me to confirm an appointment which I did not ask for.
Discusted by thier actions and underhandedness.
Hovers are easy to fix and i suggest getting a screw driver and sorting it yourself, dont give your money to these people.

Had a call asking if I was Miss H. I confirmed I was and he said I am calling about your Dyson, that is if you still have it. I told him I do not have a Dyson and have never had one. This is a complete SCAM.

Had a phone call stating my service was due on my dyson. Agreed the guy would come next day which he duly did. Took dyson apart stated I needed new filters brush and he could do it for £90 told him I had spare filters and didn't feel I needed a brush anyway relented and got him to supply a pre- filter and was charged £25 could have bought it for £9.99. Used this company last year no problem . Won't be using them again. Don't like scaremongering.

I had a problem with my dyson vacuum cleaner so looked on the internet yell.com and this company came up first so I called them and spoke to a young chap on the phone very pleasant he offered a free pick up or I could drop it in to them, as I pass going to work from cupar I thought I would drop it in.
On dropping it off I was very surprised by the size of there premises and seem to take up most of the street with private parking,office store and also a workshop.
A few hours later I got a call to say I could have a free quote and told me what it needed .
They repaired my dyson at a cost of £65 which I got a revamp they called new belt,brush,filters motor and a hose with a full years warranty.
Certainly a good company who I have past other friends onto.

Scam. They contact elderly people by telephone and visit the house and change the filter and charge £50. Filters don't need changing, they only need washed. Dyson don't cold call, this company just calls until someone says they have a Dyson as it is the most popular vacuum in uk. They leave a receipt but it has inaccuracies in the address and post code, if you look on Google Maps Streetview there is no such address. Phone Consumer Trading Standards and ask their advice and they will tell you also it's a scam. Phoned Dyson, they don't cold call, they don't give out Dyson owner phone numbers and they were shocked at these practices. Ask yourself how did they get my number and why it's mainly older people and always a 'repair' for the same part (a filter) than can be easily cleaned by washing?
Helen Laurie replied 11/8/13, 2:25 AMI am a previous customer of vac care services and iv had nothing but tremendous professional work carried out on my machine. I have also previously called trading standards Aswell not for any wrong doing but to find out a little more about the company , I found out that vac care services are a registered company by companies house, Scotland, now why would companies house Scotland register a company if they are 1. ( conning old people into buying parts?) 2. (Chancing there luck on the off chance someone has a dyson) and 3. (Change parts that aren't needed ) now when the engineer Andrew came to my house he advised me that my filters needed replacing now he made it very clear it was entirely upto myself if I wanted to change them or not , he showed me the difference between my filters and a new one, he also informed me that had I been washing one of my filters previous to my service then I wouldn't have needed new ones out in. I opted to have the new ones replaced but checked the dyson website whilst he was changing them as I was unaware that I could replace or even clean them , now your saying dyson don't replace filters, so why on earth would they sell them and other parts on there site? A little contradicting don't you think ? Or is it Possibly because Mr dyson would rather charge £70 for one if his engineers to do the job and him have the money for it! That's more like it ! Andrew was very helpful when I realised I hadn't been to the bank and sayed I could send the money out when I had it, I called the company to ask if I had the correct address as my previous invoice had a different address I was told that they changed location at the start of the year (due to expanding) the young girl on the phone told me that I didn't have to rush with payment and they could have someone stop by to pick it up rather than me pay postage, now if you had took the time to do some research Jane then u also would have found out that the reason theyr not on google maps is down to the sheer fact it was a different company and different owner in theyr building at the time google maps took place, I personally couldn't praise this company enough, they never pestered me for the money I was due them, and gave me a week before popping by for it . I have a machine working like brand new again and can't thank Andrew enough for his hard work. I have also had an engineer out in the last 2 years and haven't been disappointed. On both occasions I have been supplied with the contact number, the registration number and the website along with being assured that the engineer has identification, which the girl told me to double check. The engineers that have visited me have always been efficient and professional. Will be pleased to welcome them in the future

I have had vac care services out to service my dyson several times they are a legitimate company as I checked this out previously, I had the engineer Adam out today and was not disappointed, my machine is in a better condition now from when I first bought it, the suction is great and I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needed there Hoover seen to.

Unsolicited call to my elderly mother saying they would service her Dyson for £15 with no mention of how they obtained her number, but it appears to be from the phonebook.

Company appears to be registered at a residential address, now trading as Vac Care Service and Repair Centre Ltd, SC440299, newly formed this year.
Vacuum Care Services Ltd, SC400421 was dissolved this year after only two years trading. As stated above it does seem they moved from 7b to 9 Broomhead Drive.
Both companies have minimal share cpaital and do not seem to have ever filed accounts.
I don't feel comfortable about them at all.

scam buster reported vac care services with the number 01383623573 as Cost trap
This guy rings pretending to be from Dyson and offering a vacuum cleaner service for £15. Then told my 82 year old parents it was a fire risk and charged £45. The receipt gives very iffy address details and is almost certainly fake. There seems to be a legit company with a similar name on the same street. My paeents now need to pay again to see what he did to it! Dyson don't cold call!!!!
I am now wondering how the hose got damaged to start with ..have my suspicions. Will be contacting Dyson to find out how this company got my name and phone number.
Not genuine Dyson parts which are about £40.00 feel totally ripped off and phone number is not available am awaiting them to contact me
