Persistent calling on my UK mobile number. I didn't answer any calls but later called the number displayed and got an answer machine message from Van Compare insurance. I don't know how they got my number

Australian sounding lady called got my name completely mixed up, i replied never heard of him they just hung up the call, My Samsung phone has a call block function so that's that number blocked, my blocked list grows longer all the time.

Caller rang from this number but hung up as soon as I answered. I never give real number on comparison sites, buy maybe hubby does? He is more trusting than me.

Repeatedly calling me from a car insurance compare site. They have the old house occupants details (who moved 3 years ago!) how do I stop this? as when I asked the caller to remove my details she (an Indian sounding lady) put the phone down on me... Rude.

Have had up to 3 calls a day. As car insurance is due next month presume thats what they are calling about. Caller ID gives number so I dont answer. Pests but they will get no response from me.

They have started up again. I have had 3 or 4 calls in the last 2 days. The first time I answered I was told that it was something to do with car insurance. I was asked to confirm my postcode which I did. I was then asked to give them my date of birth. I said "No" and hung up immediately. The second call I answered, I said "Hello" several times before a man at the other end responded with "Hello?". I replied "You called me" whereupon he hung up!!

Have just read all the above comments having received a call from this number for the first time today. I wondered whether I will be charged if I auto-redirect this number somewhere else, eg talking clock etc or whether the originator of the phone call gets charged? Any thoughts?

Many calls over last 2 weeks, 3-4 times a day. Silence when we answer. today we called the number. Just a recorded message saying they'll call back abut car insurance. How do we stop them???!!!

seriously annoying phonecalls, nearly everyday without fail since using Compare the market insurance website and taking out insurance with Adrian Flux direct, this number needs to either have its calling rights taken away or the users to be fined for a long stream or pointless, harassing phone calls...

If you have a BT landline i'd get choose to refuse its an additional service which is charged monthly and allows you to add up to 10 numbers (not bad) you call 14258 depending on if the caller has left a number and the callers number is blocked i find it great the downside is it doesnt block international calls but witheld numbers it can block :) ive just blocked their number*peace at last*

Never, ever phone such people back. You get switched into a high cost rate and they can easily make several pounds from you for just a minute or so. I have an answering service (1571) and seldom answer the phone. If I know who it is from the 1571 info I ring back. If they leave no message I never bother.

Received call from this number today. Could weep at all the other comments suggesting they may call several times a day! Don't have caller ID so answer all calls. This could be a potential nuisance.

Answered and they said calling from car insurance company and that my insurance was up for renewal and was this right? I said "I have no idea" the guy on the other end said "oh my gosh!" and hung up. I gave no idea what he thought I said, but it was different for a sales team to hang up on me rather than the other way round

I missed a call from tshi number and called it abck in good faith. It was a recorded message stating the caller was Connect Quote calling about my car insurance. i took out a policy with a major insurer over 4 months ago so where they got me details i have no idea.

Had a missed call from this number, called back and went straight to VAN COMPARE, so hung up. Might have to do with the car insurance site that I was recently on, entered my number there. Stupid enough.
