I had a call from this number today (25 Mar 2015 )and this Indian sounded woman tried to ask me to confirm my address. She has the right details and I asked her "Where did you get my phone number?" - she said from public records. Told her "No, cos my phone is on Telephone Preference Service (TPS)" . She apologise and hung up.

004048915588 - Usual Indian call centre scammer, judging by Google search results. As I get a lot of unsolicited/scam, (both the same in my book....), calls I let the answering machine pick up any number I don't recognise, such as this one who rang me today. Needless to say, no message was left. It's about time the Indian government clamped down on this sort of thing - these scams seem to be almost always from Indian call centres. The CLID number is apparently easily spoofed, by the way, (another thing that should be made illegal or impossible....), so it's not necessarily a guide to the source of the call.

As with Simon, this number called today. A very heavily Indian accented and very aggressive lady tried to tell me they had received a Microsoft error report. She refused to answer questions insisting she was legitimate and knew what she was talking about. I left her on hold and she went.

This number calls my home up to 15 times a day, its driving me crazy .when ever i answer no one is there. tried calling back to tell them not to call and it does not connect.

Agressively trying to tell me I had a problem with my computer, I am a senior software engineer, and I know this guy has no idea about my computer, nor is he from microsoft.
I told him to take my number off his list but he refused, saying that if I didn't do what he said he would call back in 5 minutes.

Have had multiple calls from these idiots, first 2 was them pretending that they were windows support and someone was hacking my computer. The last call (i just received 15 mins ago) was 5 minutes of me pretending to know nothing about computers, then when I called her bluff she started typing numbers so all i could hear was beeps and she pretended to be an answering machine. When i spoke to her she paused in her answersing machine message and when i said "by the way, answering machines dont stop talking to wait for me to stop talking" she passed the phone over to her idiot friend and he started talking to me about my mothers life insurance and how i need to claim it, I told this guy that him and his girl were cross-eyed inbred idiots and he started saying about how my mother was in my bed waiting for me. After laughing at this guy for 3-4mins he passed back to her and she asked was my mother alive? so i said "Ill tell you if you come over and give me some sucky sucky" she started saying "am i talking to a black dog?" - im still not sure what she was on about but she found it hilarious.
Anyways bottom line is these idiots are trying to scam and they are so stupid its funny. the number that called me was 004048915588
