The Portuguese Dude reported unknown with the number 02031501629 as Harassment calls
Initially, a Russian speaking man called me from this number, to whom I asked to quickly pass my call to someone who spoke English.
The call was regarding this "amazing" investment opportunity and, since I've been getting this annoying and aggressive calls every 5 minutes for the past four weeks, I quickly asked him to remove my number from the list — he denied my request and informed me the only way my number was to be removed is "if I caved in and gave them my money" (his words, not mine).
I informed this person that according to the new data protection regulations in Europe – which GB is still a member of – my number, which is MY personal data, not his, was obtained illegally and it had to be removed, asking him to confirm this information with his Data Protection Officer (DPO) — he told me he was the DPO and removing my number was impossible due to it being an automated system and, again, the only way to have it removed is if I invested with them.
This is where I may have lost my s***, and informed this f*** face of a man the fact the system was automated is completely irrelevant and that it can't overrun the law — if a number can't be removed, they should fix it and I shouldn't have to be dealing with the consequences.
I'm taking them to court, and so should you.
