On the 15th July I get a call from an Asian sounding guy called "Peter" who tells me he is from Microsoft and that my computer has been identified as sending malicious emails and that it is infected. He asked for me by my full name. I told him that this was interesting and that as he was from Microsoft he should be able to tell me which version of Windows I was using, either 8, 7, XP or 98. He became defensive and said that he didn't understand. I said that as he has all my information and that he knows my computer is at risk it should be easy for him to tell the type of OS I am using, I said I would make it real simple; pc or Mac? Clearly it was a scam so I told him to f**k off. He hung up. 16th July the same number called again. I could hear the noise of a call centre in the background. Initially I didn't say anything. When I said "hello" they ended the call. 0098 is the international code for Iran.
