This was almost a repeat performance of the call received 24 hours previously, with a lot of crackling before the foreign-sounding woman told me she was from Talk Talk and had rung to tell me there was a problem. To waste as much of her time as possible I told her to carry on with her script. When she got to the part of wanting to know what I had connected to my computer I told her I had no intention of telling her because I did not deal with criminals, and suggested this was the point at which she would decide to ring off. "There is a problem," she persisted. "I know there is," I told her, "because you cause a lot of trouble to a lot of people. You are just a crook!" She gave up and rang off without another word. These people now use different numbers each time they call. All are as fake as their claim to be from Talk Talk.
