I've had several calls from these people claiming to be from Microsoft. Now they're claiming to be from my bank insisting on CC information. Please be careful about insisting on information from them that your bank would know and a scammer wouldn't.

Have noted this caller before by dialling 1471. Unusual for a non-UK no. to show up on this service. Today was the first time I'd heard anyone speak: there was a typical foreign-call time-delay, with background noise and line-interference, before they said "Hello" in a non-Brit accent. I didn't reply instantly, and the call cut off.

They told me I had virus and malawares(!) on my computer that was slowing it down. I said "Yes, I do, it was put there by some scumbag company who phone up pretending to be from Microsoft, and then they charged me a lot of money to fix the problem, but it's still all screwed up. You mean that sort of thing?" .... "Yes" he says. "Then stop doing that you nasty little criminals". Goodbye!
