Indian guy claims to be from BT but is not. Claimed my broadband was about to be cut off. Then tried the old scam of saying he needed to get access to my computer to fix it. Just put the phone down on him but he called again 2 days later. Total nuisance.

Indian guy claiming to be from BT and calling regarding hackers into my broadband router. I hung up and he rang me straight back to tell me how urgent his call was! He wanted me to turn on the computer. I told him it was my sons (not) and I didn't know how to, and if he gave me a number my son would call him back (he gave me a false number) I also asked him the full name of the BT account holder and he couldn't tell me. This scammer was very convincing and persuasive and an elderly person very could easily be scammed. Please warn your parents. It was great to be able to verify the scam call by googling the number and read the negative reviews.

Scam. They've just called my mum saying she's got problems with her broadband and can she sit in front of her computer so they can help her diagnose the problem. Lucky for my mum.. she doesn't have a computer of any sort, so she just hung up on them.

I have BT call protect and after talking to BT i m told the can not block this no and also another no from yesterday namely 001102998053466. Both no had the same result from BT can not block
