Apparently 01234 339 numbers are allocated to BT, who in turn have sublet them to rogue operators like this.

Asian sounding person wanted to ask questions for a survey. I asked for registered company number and address but said they can't give that private info out. Told them if they wanted my private info they had to tell me theirs first. I just kept repeating my question until they hung up. Phishing for info to try to scam at a later date.

This number rings at least once a day and its a nuisance waking me at 8:30 or earlier as I try to convalesce after a hip replacement.This is obviously a known number provided by some telecomms outfit. Is it really beyond the wit of man to shut it down ?. As for the TPS don't make me laugh !!!

Someone with a thick Indian accent claiming to be called Paul has called me twice. Two different men same name same thick accent different voice, they can't even pronounce my surname! Told first one to remove my number as ex-directory, have been registered with TPS for years never give out my number, these scumbags use autodialers and ignore TPS and ICO.I bought a call blocker best £40 I ever spent, number now blocked!

Probably call every day - someone with an Indian accent claiming to be Paul or Mark. Every time I ask them to remove my number from their database at which point they hang up. By now, these must be well known to be pests operating out with tele-marketing regulations. Must be someone to report them to surely?

They keep calling me, even though I have 'opted out', spoken with 'an advisor' and asked to be removed and even given them abuse - I have blocked them, reported them, but STILL!!!!

It is awful that these PESTS are continuing to bother us all, and I did resent buying a new phone when my old one was ok. Having said that I have blocked 38 PESTS so far; it is a good thing I did because they still appear on the call list. I started by giving them a name, PEST A etc and am now going through alphabet again and have got to PEST M1. Those I blocked last June still try to get me but are now just on the call list. I also reported most is the numbers to ICO via TPS. -

Somebody identifying himself as "Mark" from the "UK Society" insisting that don't ring off and that he would "not disappoint me". When asked where he got my number from, he said that he got it from a public database. He spoke with an accent. I simply called him a chutiya (idiot), rang off and blocked the number.

Caller said he was from UK Society. Addressed me by a false name I had given some years ago in a similar call. I said I was the new owner of the property and gave him a new false name. He asked consumer questions on behalf of UK companies to which I gave false answers. I now await the calls from the companies he claims to be representing. Great fun!

Try are ringing every single day 2 times a day I have the number blocked on my landline and thy still keep ringing I'm on TPS as well and ex directory it's harassment!!!

repeated phone calls from a database sold by a company that used aggressive nasty little man who one day called me over 50 times because Iwould not answer his stupid survey eventually I gave a false name which this comapny were using ....

They rang me in the evening and said they were from UK Society and hoped I could help them. I replied that i was registered with the TPS so shouldn't be receiving unsolicited calls and asked them how they'd got my number. He apologised and mumbled something I didn't catch due to his Indian accent, then carried on with his spiel about how he was sure I could help them! I said I was too busy and put the phone down.

Handy OfCom website which lists all UK telephone code allocations. According to the list, 01234-339 numbers are allocated to BT, who in turn have sublet them to rogue operators like this. Perhaps complainants should persistently ontact BT's chairman Sir Michael Rake and Chief Exec Gavin Patterson, inviting them to terminate these contracts on the grounds of abuse of the system. -

We are called 3-4 times a day. Every time, I tell them to 'take us off their calling list' (as you are advised to say!), but they just won't stop. They start before 9am and still call into late evening.
Their treat is, "if you just answer our questions then we will stop ringing you" . . in other words, if you don't we will continue to annoy you. -

I have had about a call a day from these people. Have now managed to put them onto caller barred on my phone. I told them I was on TPS, but they told me as they were not selling me anything that didn't matter. This is now getting towards being harassment.7y327

Asian chap called John called to ask if I would do a survey,told him I didn't do surveys ,got very insistent I stayed on the phone to the the point of shouting at me,told him to stop shouting at me and that I'm not doing any survey,he then hung up....bloody parasites

Called me 6 times today. I have a call blocker but this number got through. He got angry when I told him to gang up as I was waiting for an important call then he asked who from. I will have to block this one manually. So sick of these calls. They take the pleasure out of having a phone.

A foreign caller rings every morning around 9.30 and sometimes in the evenings around 6.30 and asks me to complete a survey that will take 30 seconds. I have done this once (it takes a good 5 minutes) and a second time giving totally random answers. The third time I said I had already done it and was not doing it again, as I put the the phone down he was wailing my name - ...... DON'T GO! Now I lift the handset but say nothing and they ring off almost immediately.

I have them blocked on my phone. Each time they call they get a message saying that they have been blocked. Yet they still continue to call. Clearly computer calling, else surely they would have the sense to realise that they will never get through?

continuous calls from this company and I have repeatedly told them no I don't want to do a survey finally the last man started shouting at me 'what do you mean no' needless to say I put the phone down.
