    just tried calling it back, got a recorded message saying not in service so I guess the number is a forgery. Why does BT allow this type of criminal to operate unhindered? (indictable offences committed under S3(2)(c) Computer Misuse Act 1990)

    The recorded message about not being in service is an American accent, so they are clearly not a telecoms provider message and they are too cheap to get a Brit to record it.

    Three times they called in one day. something about solar panels. Three times I asked the company name. Three times she gave an unintelligible answer. Hung up and blocked them.
