I received call from 00441473379441 without any audio. The call disconnected in 20 seconds. I didn't receive any code via sms only this call.

This is Whatsapp verification service. When you install the app it asks you for a phone number, to which it sends a text with a confirmation code. If that doesn't work, the user has the option to receive an automated call with a code and that's what this is.
So if you receive a call/text unexpectedly it's probably because someone signing up to whatsapp has mistakenly put in your number instead of theirs. (Don't worry though, this means they won't have received the confirmation code, so they won't be able to complete the registration with your number.) -
I also received a whatsapp code 518 -122 from this number.
Just this minute, as I was searching the Ipswich number, I received a phone call from +1 (541) 526-5577. Redmond, Oregon. Recorded message. Whats the betting it was a PPi claim company! Lol -

This is a real real strange one because it was a text message rather than a call and it's clearly a landline in Ipswich. Anyway the message read "WhatsApp code 187-940" so if anyone has any ideas please chip in. I do use WhatsApp but have never had anything like this before. Thanks in advance.
stranger replied 2013-06-11 01:15:55HI there I got the same text with a code as well just ignored it as just before I got a whatsapp code from another number +17203584170 someone says elsewhere that is a company in the USA. I plan to ignore all the messages and calls suggest you do the same
