   A Jennifer Hood 0151 324 0046 said we would be given a cheque for £2,170 by a David Austin 07937 423 246 who would come to our house. In return we had to get a ucash voucher for £152 from our local newsagent to give him. Obviously a scam.

   Someone called my wife frrom number witheld he said his name was Alex Martin and had an Indian accent. He said to call 01513240046 and someone called Kevin Parker would turn up at the door with £2500 cash for a ppi claim through Barclays. My wife told him she would call the bank in the morning as she had ppi money previously and was paid straight into the bank, sounded really dodgy and the number to call is flagged all over the internet. The bloke was persistent so she hung up on him.

   NB. Not many people know that ukash vouchers are like cash. Not only that you do not have to hand over the voucher for someone to take the money. All they need is the voucher number and they then have the cash. They are for use on the internet to pay when you don't have a credit card. They are more risky than the old postal orders which they replace.
   This fraud is well known and has been reported in the press.
